I watched most of this, although I have taped it, I thought it was pretty good as normal. Anyone else thought it was good? I thought it was really awful when those ants got into Nicks coffin and was all over him (Shiver!) And then started biting him. Really good acting from everyone.

I loved it! It was a fantastic episode from beginning to end. Also agree that the acting was good from everyone. I loved that scene where the lab man (the slightly strange one, David I think he's called) was fighting with the courier who brought the tape, so he didn't wipe all the evidence off... it was so funny in amongst all the serious stuff. The ants in the coffin were just horrible... I'm sure I got a few bites myself I can't wait for the new series to start. Will Grissom's team be back together...

Yes, they needed a little humour too to lighten such a serious drama. Yeah, I got the feelingg I was getting bit too(!) though that proves it was intriguing. I don't know if they will bring the tam back together again, I know grissom did suggest it though I think they split them up to see if they could 'revive' it a bit.

Hmmm... it could be a bit of a red herring on the part of the writers. It certainly keeps the fans guessing! I did think that the reason to split the team up in the first place was to freshen things up a bit, and it's worked IMO. It seems a bit strange to split them up, only to reunite the team shortly after. As long as they keep all the characers together, be it in one team or two, I'll be happy. They must definately keep Greg Sanders too, that man just makes me laugh so much every time he's on screen!

What a cracking episode, poor George Eads, from what I read he got a few bites. Good if the old team were together again. That got one of the highest ratings for a channel five programme.

Oh did he, well if the rumours were true regarding he and Jorja Fox getting fired over money then I guess that could have been his punishment! I agree with you again BC I think they split the team up originally to keep it fresh and it worked. Yes, Greg is a good comical actor but I also think Paul Guilfoyle who is Jim, is well underused as a character.

Well, I'm pretty sure that both Jorja Fox and George Eads will still be in CSI when the new series hits our screens.
I've just been on google, and apparently they were both sacked last July (2004) before the series began in the autumn of 2004 in America, but both were reinstated when the misunderstandings behind their firings were cleared up.
Apparently Jorja Fox was fired because she mailed a letter instead of faxing it, so the studio thought she had turned down their offer. Also, Nick Eads apparently slept in and missed the first day of production.

I am not sure of the reason behind Jorja Fox's sacking but that was the rumour for George Eads I heard, they misunderstood what was happening when he slept in. I also understand that Billy Petersen (Grissom) also fought hammer and tooth to help their case.

Inside sources claim Jorja Fox is in talks with CBS to return to CSI
E!online reported yesterday that Jorja Fox would be back on the set of CSI next week. CBS has yet to issue a statement in that regard. Both Jorja and co-star George Eads were offered a $20,000 raise per episode, but the actors were allegedly holding out for more money. According to Variety, Jorja's representatives claim that the actress did sign an agreement promising to return to work during salary negotiations, but because the letter was mailed instead of faxed, CBS apparently assumed she had not.
CBS Chief, Les Moonves, told the press this past weekend that both actors were fired when they failed to show up for work on Thursday, but Fox's publicist told Variety last week that Jorja was fired Wednesday.
George Eads, who did return his letter, claims to have slept in on the first day of production, and that his firing is a big misunderstanding. He hopes to rectify this situation before the end of the week, but as of yesterday, had yet to connect with Moonves to explain himself.

Thanks for that info Britchick, I like both those character, I woldn't like to see them go. I was glad when I heard they were both staying too. From what I've read, if both actors had been axed, they were just going to replace them with carbon copies anyway... I prefer the originals myself July 20, 2004
CBS seeking two new actors
Source: New York Post
CBS is seeking two new actors who are remarkably like the two they just fired —George Eads and Jorja Fox — from TV's top-rated drama, "CSI," in a salary dispute.
A casting call sheet circulated yesterday among Hollywood talent agencies saying the network is looking for a male character and a female character who, based on descriptions, won't differ much from Eads' Nick Stokes and Fox's Sara Sidle.
According to the sheet, both characters will be in their "late-20s to mid-30s" and should be "sexy, edgy and intelligent" — in other words, not far from the characters played by Eads and Fox, who were fired last week after demanding pay increases and reportedly threatening not to show up for work.

Source: www.belec.ca/csi/NEWS/News_Update.htmJust kidding! besides I have to saty on the right side of you because of the Banners LOL Well if that is the case, then they should just try and get two new charcters and I have done with it, Sara is getting very miserable, and I used to like her, she seems more content in trying to get Grissom into bed than doing her job. She used to be really nice. They need to change her character.

In fact, I've always thought they just had an extremely close friendship, but nothing more. Then again, I haven't seen all the CSI episodes... I already admitted I'm a big Sara fan, and think she's a great character. Her battle with alcohol adds a flawed dimension to the brilliant scientist. Sometimes Sara can be a bit stubborn, but that's just part of her character. Hopefully the writers will move away from the whole Sara/Grissom thing in the next series, and just concentrate on how good they both are at their jobs!

I always preffered Sara to Catherine, She always seemed to have a good 'working' relationship with Grissom, she appeared to look opon him as 'father - mentor' figure, and when she first appeared in the show after taking over from the character Hooly was tragically killed it was even mentioned that Grissom had known her for some time and she had been in the job for a good while, yet the way she acts, it is as if she has not been at the job long at all. I agree witht he statement of them moving away from this supposed relationship, I think they have, they have decided that it wrong to pursue this, and they are currently dealing with a possible' relationship between Catherine and Warrick

Sharon's quote ( This is the only way I can do just a bit of a quote, and acknowledge the quoter! )
That would not suprise me. I watched an old episode the other night, They were in a storm drain, and getting very close ( physically ) If a bloke hadn't have shouted to them, I think they would have kissed. Maybe the writers are remembering this.
I wonder what the latest is with Jorja and George, ??

Yes,Yes, I saw that episode too and it would not surprise me if that was a little sneak preview for the 'eagle eyed' viewers to remember and think 'ah yes. they had a initmate moment at such and such'. As for Jorja and George as far as I know, all is well. I will try and find out and let you know.
