I myself really like it. I'm liking Mac so far, and Vanessa Ferlito's character (don't know her name). They both seem interesting. It isn't doing too well in the US with critics as they say that it lacks the same humour occasionally seen in its predessecors.
It's still doing ok though. I'm not really liking Stella though. Herself and Mac both lost people in 9/11 didn't they?

Herself and Mac both lost people in 9/11 didn't they? OY! What do you think you are doing? I was going to do that!!! ;D Stealing my thunder!!! I have seen only the second episode at the mo, as the first I have taped, and not got round to it yet, I was unsure about another spin off, as I don't agree with them, though CSI Miami proved itself after teething problems which all new things get at first, but it's proved very different in a lot of ways to the original one. However, I think it is unfair at the moment to slam the NY one as it has to establish itself like Miami did. I don't think they should have anymore spin offs though, I think you can only go so far with a spin off so they should quit while they are ahead. I think Mac is great, they other one I like is Stella, though I don't know any of them well enough at the mo to comment. I have seen that other girl though, I think she is a CSI and her name is Aiden, I think she could be one of those, you are 'not keen on'. We will have to see. Yes, in the second ep, Mac reveals he lost his wife in the 9/11 attack though I don't know about Stella. I thought it was a moving scene when he went to Ground Zero to be 'near his wife. I don't know whether her body was recovered though.

Well, its season #2 and I still think its just ok. There is no real chemistry between Melina Kanakaredes and Gary Sinise and the supporting cast don't stand out like they do on Vegas & Miami CSI's. I predict one more season then cancellation.

I predict one more season then cancellation. Oh my! I don't know where you are from - The States? We are only on Season 1 here, which is why I think you are in the States, but I disagree, there is chemistry between Mac and Stell the right sort. I think the others are establishing themselves a little now. I also watch the other CSI's shows of course, and I think Vegas was in danger of slipping a little, but they seem to have altered the format a little now since Catherine is now a lead CSI. Miami needs to be careful in the sence that the cop Yelina I think is dragging it down. The important thing is they are all different in their own right, but I believe the important thing is they KEEP the main thing going, The forensics, and leave out any romance, there is too much of that in shows as it is. It is the Forensics that make the show. Have stories yes, but romance I think would kill it.
