OK, so first episode back into season two. The beginning with Betty starring in the Spanish soap was a bit stupid and not as funny as intended. I wonder did they actually learn Spanish for that part?
One thing that was a major let down at the start was the fact that Santos survived being shot. It was definitely a
moment, especially after the tearful end to the first season. His and Hilda's lovey-dovey scenes were almost vomit inducing, but then for him to be dead and her to be locked up in her room was a great, and very unexpected, twist.
Betty's problems overall were a bit of a letdown. And her walking into something and needing to go to the hospital has been done before. And why is she talking to Christina again? I thought Betty was still annoyed with her?
Henry's arrival at the end was a bit predicatable at the end, even if the digital background of New York looked awful. Its so obvious this show is filmed in LA at times.
Oh, and I wasn't too keen on Alexis reverting to Alex either. A bit stupid I felt. Mark and Amanda were funny as per usual, especially with her parents and their swinging ways.
Not the best of starts and maybe suggesting that it will be a difficult second season for the show. Looking forward to seeing Victoria Beckhams two episode wedding stint though.
