I have been a big fan of Hollyoaks for quite a while now- I think the element of serious Drama And Comedy is just great- though the Comedy is often quite far fetched!

the comedy about balances out the rubbish drama - they should stick to what they are good at. Like the old days.

I have only started watching Hollyoaks in the last 3 weeks, admittedly, it was because that one Monday night a certain actress ("Louise") caught my eye in the last 10 minutes i saw, but i kept watching, purely for research to find out who she was.

But now I've got into it alot, having tried many many times before and not beinging able to, i never could stand it once apon a time. I like that it's tongue in cheek, and how the stories that are big (or even just "storyline led") bits are easily interwoven into it. It's one of of these shows that doesn't feel like it has these BIG massive plot/gripping storyline extravaganzas like EE and Corrie, yet it has in some ways it just interweaves them so well with good humor.

My favorites so far are: Louise, Dominic (I'm biased because of 2.4 children like many others but he's great to watch), Craig, Josh and Fletch.

Now all this coming from me, who used to slag it off, is not just a turn around i admit, but nothing short of a minor miracle. Now i regularly watch it every night and enjoy it, i think it also has an everydayness quality to it most soaps don't have.
