Brace yourself, Hollyoaks devotees - actor James Sutton won't be renewing his contract when it runs out next year.
The hunky star, who plays John Paul, has revealed he wants to kick-start a career in the movies.
He told The Sun: "I'm enjoying it - I've got another year left and then I'm going to leave."
The 23-year-old added that he'd like to turn his goody-goody image on its head.
"I'd like to star in something really dark and nasty - maybe as a psycho killer," he enthused.
It wouldn't be Sutton's first attempt at the heavy stuff.
His previous credits include playing a murderer in ITV1 drama Trial and Retribution.
The actor does have a good reason for wanting to make it big in Hollywood - Angelina Jolie. He admitted he thought working with the A-lister would be a "joy".
Hollyoaks fans are currently gripped by John Paul's latest storyline, in which he's conducting an illicit romance with Craig.
John Paul wants to persuade the latter, who is confused about his sexuality, to come out for good.

I used to like John Paul until he started to cheat on his boyfriend Spike with Craig. Why do they always turn gay characters into cheats in soaps.

He's a good actor though, shame the character has become rather annoying.
