Hi everyone, I have cheated a little here ;D (Sorry!), I have started a story, and unfortunately have not got the 'story' to hand like I thought I had, so I will have to go and get it and put it up.

Still you have got the title, and no doubt you will have guessed what it is about!

So sorry, it has taken me so long to post this, I have been unwell though, so I hope you will understand!

Here is the first chapter, hope you like it, and it does get better and better.

Chapter 1

We arrived back in Coronation Street about 7.30pm. It was raining heavily, but then it was what we expected of Britain. We’d come back for business reasons, but at the same time, my husband had family connections here. His ex-wife, who he had remained very friendly with, lived here with her future husband, and Ray’s daughter lived with them, although he hadn’t actually been in contact with them for some years, through various reasons.
‘Lovely weather!’ He commented, as we turned into Coronation Street.
‘Mmm!’ I agreed, smiling.
It was very different to what we had been used to in our homeland of Holland, where we had lived for the past ten years. We had also spent a couple of years out of those ten in Las Vegas where we had made ourselves a home too, so coming back to England, was quite a shock to the system, especially weather wise.
‘Here we are!’ He said, looking at the house we wanted and pulled up. He pulled the gear stick up and turned off the engine.
‘Are we ready?’ He asked, pulling the keys out of the ignition.
‘Yeah, I suppose so!’ I said, a little nervously
Ray picked up on my nervousness almost immediately. He turned to look at me and smiled, his hand on the back of my seat, tenderly stroking my hair.
‘Don’t worry love, it’ll be fine, honest!’ He said, smiling, trying to reassure me. It didn’t work.
‘That’s ok for you Ray, you know them here, and virtually everyone round here, and doesn’t your ex-flame also live round here also?’ I told him.
‘Oh, I won’t know everyone here, there will be a few new faces around no doubt, remember it has been a few years since I was last here on my own, and as for my ex-flame, I don’t know whether she still lives here or not, and it doesn’t really matter anyway does it?’ Ray asked.
I looked at him.
‘No, of course, it doesn’t! I said, sighing,’ But you know what I mean!’<br>‘Trust me darling, it will be Ok!’ He said, his hand, continuing to stroke my hair.
I gave him a small pursed smile, still un-reassured. I guess that wouldn’t come till I got the preliminary welcomes over with. I had yet to meet Deirdre, Ray’s ex-wife, and Tracy his daughter, so I was very nervous at the prospect.
‘Right, come on, the rain has stopped, so let’s go and meet them!’’ He said, making his retreat from the car.
I took a deep breath and followed his lead. No sooner had I got out, Ray was by my side. As soon, as my door was shut, he pointed his car key and pressed which sparking a beep from the alarm to indicate the car was locked. After slipping the keys in his pocket, he slipped a reassuring arm around my waist, as we walked to the door. After he knocked, we waited, me nervously. Suddenly, we heard the clasp at the other side go, and the door opened. My heart thumped, waiting to see who would greet us.

Who was at the other side of the door, and what would the welcome be for both Ray and Catherine?

Well thanks Jade, I appreciate that, I wanted to do something a lttle different rather than what people expect maybe from the character, I thik you will be pleassantly surprised. I have actually started on Chapter 2 and I thought I had put it up already, so I will do in the next day or so. My only exscuse has been I have been under the weather.
