I had a thread here asking about affiliation, but it looks nice it has been deleted... May I ask why?

Oops that was my fault. I was told you had deleted yourself so I removed it. Sorry.

I was never a member in the first place? So is affiliation a possibility or not?

True but when members leave their posts say 'Guest' so it's an easy mistake to make.
I don't know. I was hoping Eithne would have answered as she knows more about that sort of thing.

Hi there Fragrances Forum. As Patsy said I know a little more about this sort of thing, but not a lot - so I've got to ask what sort of affiliation and what is your forum/site about? Basically when you say affiliation do you mean you put a small banner on your page, linking to us and we put a small banner on our page linking to you. We're only a growing community, and none of us are that technically minded here - so excuse me having to ask. Also do you want to tell us a little bit more about your forum, and maybe post a link. Sorry to be so awkward!!!

That's exactly what I mean. ;D Here's a link to my forum: fragrances.proboards98.com/index.cgiBasically, it's a forum to talk about your favourite aftershaves, perfumes, deodorants and any other fragrances.

Isn't that what links are for? People can make up their own minds what they want to join.

I think it would be better to just post a thread in the section for other website's (Links & Petitions) with a link in it to your forum/message board.
The subject matter of your board isnt related to to the subject of this board.

I agree with Jez that the subject matters of the two boards aren't really related - so I doubt there would be many people who would find the affiliation useful anyway, as we are aiming at totally different audiences.
So I would also suggest you sign up and post a link in the Links & Petitions board, for people here who would like to visit your board. Thanks for your interest though.
