The clock which puts the time on entries is wrong!!!!! At least 1 hour out - and it's driving me mad - I know it's only a little thing, I know it's not the end of the world, I even know it's not going to change my life - but it's still driving me potty!!!!!!

On here? Have you changed it in your profile? If you haven't and it's on GMT you may as well leave it. Technically the one at the top of the page ought to change but sometimes it doesn't.

It#s more or less right in my profile - about 28 mins different but it won't let me change it. But it's the time it registers my replies to whatever and you know I'm here, there and everywhere, that is different. It's only a small point but I have an OCD so it aggravates me ....... I like things, especially time, to register the correct info. You're going to tell me to get lost - I know you are - but I've got to make my point .....

The clock at the top is absolutely, definitely 1 Hour adrift. Don't cancel my membership, pleeeease don't cancel my membership. Can you see me on my knees - honestly I'm not trying to cause problems it's just the way my brain ( ) works.

LOL! You're quite safe. How you set the clock in your profile ought to be what you see above. That's how it's meant to work anyway. This gets weirder. It's only 2 minutes out to me. There's an admin setting to change the main one so it's meant to be on whatever time we're on so we don't all have to keep doing it in the profile. Maybe it will correct itself once the clocks go back. Don't hesitate in saying if it's still out. Patsy

When I said about the time in my profile being about 28mins different - I was looking at the format and not the time setting (brandy). My time setting in my profile is GMT + 0, is this wrong? If I set it to GMT + 1 that will make the clock right but put me in the Eastern European zone - definitely not my favourite place. I suppose that would be the solution to stop it bugging me but I'm still wondering why there's a variance.

Ah I see what you mean now. Yes it should be GMT+1. The main one will be altered when the clocks go back. Europe are an hour ahead so are GMT+2.

What I've done is leave the GMT + 0 setting but changed the DST setting to Yes and the clock is now correct. So I'll wait and see if it stays correct when the clocks change - I think it probably will ....

Everything crossed. I have noticed at times when the main one is changed it changes itself sometimes. Technology!!!! Patsy

It was lovely having that extra hour. I was meant to go down the marina this morning but my foot hurts (I did something to it on Oriana last week) so didn't get to sleep as long as I'd hoped. Patsy

This putting the clocks back and forth gets on my wick - I sleep and eat according to my body clock, and according to my work roster, not by what time some clock boffin in Greenwich dreams up. Who does it really benefit?

Everytime they try and suggest that, the Scots kick off as it means thay will get hardly any daylight. ( I can understand their point of view )
But why can't just Scotland change their clocks ? They have different time zones in America.

Then, knowing you, you'd be moaning that you didn't get the extra hour of sleep every October!!!

They also have different times zones in Australia. Perth didn't change theirs. I know they were going to experiment again this year but I don't know if they did. I'm sure Belgium ought to be the same as us. It was so dark at nearly 8am on the 21st when it should have been lighter.

Patsy Perth did change Patsy...there was a big whoha about it when we were there in March...everybody was moaning about the extra hour of light in the evening...they prefer it dark by 6pm..couldnt believe it..we love our late evenings dont we..but over there they prefer the dark....wish I had bought a paper home now..so I could have scanned the letters page..it changed back as we came home.

They were moaning because it was still light at 7pm..said it was un-natural to have dinner in the daylight & the dogs never knew when it was feeding time!!!! We loved it & enjoyed a walk along Cottesloe beach & then sunset.

But why can't just Scotland change their clocks ? Haha!! Imagine the field day held by Virgin Trains London to Glasgow - if they had different time zones to contend with!! They can barely manage to follow a timetable as it is!

LOL! Alex Salmond wants independence (not that he'll get it with Europe running the country) so give them their own timezone too.
