Alex whatsit who plays Smithy was excellent. Real tears unlike certain soap actresses who stay dry eyed. I can't remember why Cameron left now but she wouldn't go to Australia with him. No idea if he's at the funeral. Gabriel is bound to get what's coming to him sooner or later. They just like stringing these things out as long as they can.

Yeah, Alex played the part really well!!! He brought tears to my eyes. He won't REALLY leave the force though... will he? I can't handle two of my faves leaving so close together. Well I haven't heard anything about him leaving, and with Kerry, we knew months ago. God bless her

Thanks for refreshing my memory Lori. I think Smithy stays. Wasn't he the one who shot Bob Cryer all those years ago by mistake?

Can't answer that one. I've never even heard of Bob cryer I'm pretty new at this. Just started watching right after Kerry thought Smithy might've raped her.

Bob Cryer popped up recently for Ted Roach's funeral along with Alec Peters and helped Jack solve the mystery of Ted's death. I think Smithy was the one who shot him. IIRC, when Bob made a guest appearance last year (or the year before - it all goes so fast!), Smithy apologised or something.

I think a lot of people are the same. It's got a bit more popular since it turned soap but not as popular as it was in the 80s and early 90s.
