From TV Plus.
'Heartbeat' bosses believe that the ITV hit feel good drama could go on just like Corrie which began 45 years ago.
As the show returns for its 15th run on October 2nd, executive producer Keith Richardson said. "I genuinely think it is still fresh, it hasn't got old or stale. Perhaps it could go on as long as Corrie has, viewers seem to love it as much as ever, and the last series regulaly got over 9 million viewers."
The drama, set in 60s Yorkshire, began in 1992, and a new 26 part run, including a Christmas special begins this Autumn. Its spin-off 'The Royal' returns for a 12 part series next year.
'Heartbeat chiefs hope that a new intake of high calibre guest stars and strong plots for its 15th season will ensure the show will run for may years.
Those featured in the new line-up include, George Cole, Tim Brooke-Taylor, comic Bobby Ball, ex Corrie star John Bowe, and Mark Wingett from The Bill. Also joining on a semi-regular basis is Murray Head as an art teacher who has a fling with Gina.

I agree with that. I have not warmed to Peggy at all, and I hate those teeth. I can't concentrate on the programme waiting for them to come shooting out of her mouth. ;D
