Ginola is Holby’s new doc HUNKY ex-footballer David Ginola is to star as a suave surgeon in BBC hospital drama Holby City.
The Frenchman will play handsome doc Phillipe Lestocquoy in a special episode set in Paris.
Former Spurs and Newcastle idol David, 37, is due to start filming next week.
A BBC insider said: “Producers are very excited and think he will be a huge hit with female viewers. The character is cast specifically to be a smouldering sexy French doctor and the women will love it.
“David sees this as his big break into the BBC, and this could lead to other meaty drama roles.”<br> Dad-of-two David, the former face of L’Oreal shampoo, trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts after hanging up his boots last year.
He appears when a patient needs an op which can only be carried out in Paris.
