Brucie didn't look at all well in those messages (and one was enough!). He always struggles with pre-recorded so may as well just retire with dignity now.

Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane, 18, becomes latest star to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing. As she is only 4'10 I wonder who will partner her Kevin from Grimsby isn't that tall is he Shame Vincent Simone is still there...he would be perfect.

Great start to the new series. I was especially impressed by Judge Rinder

Yes he was good. I think Lesley Joseph will struggle with the height difference.

Last series I loved Jeremy Vine channeling his inner ironing board. This series it's Ed Balls channeling his inner Hippo.

Well what a total b**** up that was. If Anastasia had such problems she should have withdrawn.

I have some sympathy for Anastacia since the results show is filmed not long after the main show. Sometimes we have no idea how bad something is going to be. She probably thought she could easily do Brendan's revised routine without a problem but then found herself in pain. It's only natural she was afraid of causing herself more damage so soon after the main show.
I returned to work on Monday after my 2 ops for just one shift to see how I got on. I have limitations for a few weeks, still swelling and pain. I was told often in no uncertain terms by one colleague I shouldn't be there despite medical people saying it was fine as long as I did nothing heavy. It's really not nice getting comments like that when we know our own bodies.
Maybe Strictly need to revert back to viewer votes instead of the stupid dance off and show it on Sat night.

If you are involved in a sport and you are injured you withdraw. I feel very sorry for Melvin. I think he has been very dignified over this. It will be interesting to see how the voting goes this Saturday...Will Anastasia get the sympathy vote or the opposite.?

But how many players get injured on a pitch, physio comes on then are running about again? Doesn't always apply unless everyone knows it's serious. At that point with no scans Anastacia had no idea how badly torn it was. It may have not even been torn at all but just felt like it. Since I've been off work recovering from surgery, my bad knee has become agony to stand on. Should I stay in bed the rest of my life or carry on as best I can? I turned down a shift on Friday because I had a pain on my op site and was afraid of making it worse. Should I give up my job?
I don't even like Anastacia but am on her side. The BBC made the decision to go by viewer votes when they could have given both a bye. They are at fault not her. Suddenly last week several mentioned on ITT they had injuries, including Tameka. Well why did none of them ask for a bye so they could rest for a week? At least they had more notice than Anastacia.

Will Young quits Strictly on 'personal grounds'
Papers say it is to do with Len but I find that hard to believe. I think he has had troubles in the past.

I agree. I think the spat with Len may have triggered it though. He seemed mortified in the Clauditorium when he said Len was great or whatever it was. However if it's true the Beeb cut his fee to £5000, would they have if he left due to health? One day the truth will come out. I think he and Karen did well considering they were lumbered with Bollywood as well as salsa.

That's Lesley gone then and Ed clings on by the skin of his teeth (and entertainment value) Really enjoyed Judge Rinder.

I'm no fan of Lesley but she impressed me. Pity her tango was crap. Yet the worse Judy Murray clung on a few years ago.
Not keen on Danny. Little too perfect. Len said Louise had reached a plateau. So have Danny and Ore. Like Jake Wood, they peaked too soon and have nowhere else to go.
Love Ed and Rob but they'll be gone soon. Pity because you can see they are improving and trying hard.
