From Digital Spy.Jack Ryder has quit his role on Family Affairs - before even filming one scene. According to the Daily Star today, the 23-year-old, who was due to play a policeman called Nathan, changed his mind about the part after the soap was axed by Five. A replacament is now being sought with urgency, as the first scenes involving Nathan are due to be shot this week. "There was no way Nathan could just be axed as that would have meant re-writing months of work," an insider told the newspaper. "So, as you can imagine, Jack's decision has caused quite a few problems. He was able to get out of the contract because it was a long-term one and that can't be met any more." * Well, at least the money would have come on handy.*

You'd think he would take any work on offer, even if it is a soap being axed in a few months.

Exactly, he hasn't really been snowed under with acting work since he left EE. He's done pantomine, but they all do that when they leave.

Well, at least his wife's got a job. I think she's one of the new presenters on Loose Women.

Well, at least his wife's got a job. I think she's one of the new presenters on Loose Women. Yes I caught sight of her on LW this last week..I think JR was stupid to come out of FA before he even started..it would have least let people see what he could do even if only for a few weeks.
