What do you all think? If Benny had been brought back would he have brought the viewers with him.
IMO he would have, mention Crossroads to Joe Public and he tends to be the character that most people remember.

I'd like to say yes Tony but I don't think he would have. The only thing that would would have been Carlton not mucking up the past to suit themselves while turning the fans against them.

As I was probably the only Crossroads fan who found Benny intensley irritating, I don't think he could. Sorry Benny fans. He would have stuck out like a sore thumb. Can you imagine Angel putting up with him.

I hated the way the past was altered in the new version and I would have loved to see Benny back at the motel/hotel or whatever it was at the time! After he disappeared up that Christmas tree in December 1987, life was never the same again!

True. What makes me laugh is the way the book has the right info for things Carlton changed (like Sarah-Jane's birthday) but then made mistakes of its own.
