From The SunMOVING Wallpaper is staying put – thanks to TV Biz. ITV chiefs decided NOT to axe the show after our page on Saturday begged for it to be saved. Now Ben Miller who plays maverick producer Jonathan Pope, will return for a second series. But it’s not such great news for Echo Beach – the soap “made” during behind-the-scenes sitcom Moving Wallpaper. It will be back, but in a far smaller form. A source says: “Moving Wallpaper is returning. We made the call to Kudos Productions on Saturday after reading TV Biz. But we’re not sure what will happen to Echo Beach. It will either have a few episodes or run on the internet.” I think it being saved was not necessarily everything to do with The Sun, more like they had already decided. ;D

What would we do without TV Biz? Maybe it'll get Crossroads and Brookside back next? And after that it can get the number of episodes of Emmerdale and Corrie cut down to three and four a week respectively. After that it can get rid of Catherine Tate and RTD from Doctor Who. And then it can force ITV and BBC1 to put a ban on all soap spoilers for EE, Corrie and Emmerdale. Any other requests welcome! Good that they are both coming back, but I can't see Martine and Jason signing up to star in an internet series. Hopefully they'll move it/them to Thursday nights next time around as well, so more of the target audience is in. Oh and according to Digital Spy MW is coming back because it gets a very high amount of those oh, so valuable 18-36 age group - not because of TV Biz. Shocking I know! (I really am too sarcastic for my own good sometimes!)

Great last episode of MW - so pleased it's going to a second series - it's been genuinely original, and very funny.
Last episode of EB fairly predictable (like most of the series TBH). Don't much care whether it returns or not.

It was a good episode of both MW and EB last night I thought, although MW was far better as has always been the case throughout both series. It was good they got the 3 lead actors from EB to have a proper role in MW last night.

With all the cliff hangers in EB last night, I certainly hope (if they don't do series two ) they do something to tie up all the loose ends.

Well I cant see them doing another series of MW without EB. EB will probabaly end up on ITV2 or in a post News At Ten slot so its "out of the way". Or maybe they wont bother and just reveal the outcome of the EB cliffhanger by talking about it in MW.

I can't wait for 'Jonathan' to get started on this one.
