Hi everyone, I am new to this particular site. Can anyone tell me if they have a spare or unwanted copy of Ok magazine featuring Brian's leaving party please that I may buy off them? Having loads of trouble finding it.
Also any Richard Hillman fans or indeed Brian Capron fans, talk to me about this great man/character as as you will have guessed, I am his greatest fan!

I love Brian, but proably not as much as you. Have you met him? I did in Southampton last year and he's really nice and funny.

No, I have never met him unfortunately, though he appears to be lovely every time I see him on the screen, the last time being when he gave young Sam Aston his award. I have just sent him a lovely fan letter requesting a signed photo so I am going to keep my fingers crossed! LOL, no, no one probably loves me more than me ( except his wife Ha ha) Only joking!

Yes, he's a very hilarious man. He was asked if he was leaving Audrey alone and he said yes because she's married to Alan Bradley and he's scary. He was only here an hour but it was so crowded. I wish you luck getting a reply.

Yes he seemed a funny sort of guy when Sam said he wanted to thank his agent and Brian pulled a face and smiled as though to say 'Good answer!' Thanks, for the luck, I have a feeling he will he seems like the sort of guy to do something like that, look after his fans. Lol, I can imagine him saying something like that about Alan Bradley! I wonder what it would have been like if those characters could have teamed up??

I think they'd have out glared each other! LOL! He was at an arcade in Southampton. He turned up late too but happily got down to signing autographs and having professional pics taken with him. Not much time for talking because of the time limit. He then did some raffle draws then left. My Australian friend was visiting at the time and only knows him from his brief part in Blake's 7 when he got killed. But he is nice. I hope you get the chance to meet him someday. he doesn't seem to do all those personal appearances like he did when he was Richard and afterwards. Richard Mania has faded it seems. Is that the Celebrity awards you're talking about? I saw Sam Aston get his award then switched off.

You and me, always, and forever!… The memory of Richard Charles Hillman lives on! lol Hi Guys!! What a fantastic web site! As you can see, I’m new here, so be gentle with me. I literally just stumbled across the site through Google and saw this topic! As you can probably tell from my screen name I'm also an avid Brian Capron fan and love him to bits! I thought that all the other fans had gone off the scene since he left corrie. ... But evidently not now! "Brian Capron's greatest fan" (Which I actually thought was me! lol) If you're interested I'll PM you my e-mail addy and we can chat loads more about Brian! I was reading your posts and it was so surreal because it was as if I'd written them myself. I've also never met him but I did write him a fan letter last week and he replied straight away with a signed photo, did you get a reply yet? He's such a great actor but a really nice person in real life too, which is why I'm such a big fan, as you can probably tell! lol I really could go on forever about him but I'll save it all for later! It's great to talk with other Brian / Richard fans so if you're as 'obsessed' as me then feel free to PM me or you can always just reply to the topic! CC << Great Icon btw!

Welcome CapronCrazy! ;D Richard's era will live on. Don't forget to watch that special this Friday at 8.30pm because the interviewed cast members will be talking about their favourite Richard moments as well. Richard was great. Without him Corrie went so bad but thankfully it's getting over it's boredom. When he was menacing, he really was menacing so captivated the nation. It's a shame he got killed off, but as we know he wanted it that way. It would be great if he turned up one day after a year or two when Gail thinks he was swept away so is safe to get her! LOL!

Hi Rita! I hope Richard’s era will live on for a long time, the whole Hillman Saga made me start to watch the street again and I haven’t stopped since! It's nice to see that they still refer to him in the script, e.g. Shelly's drunken rant! I can't wait for 'Nightmare on Coronation Street' (Great title) on Friday; I'll be glued to that! I love all the special shows they do though. 'Street Secrets' and 'Family Album' were great to see behind the scenes of Corrie! I loved the way the whole nation watched Richard's reign of terror. The confession episode got nearly 20 million. Which for the 21st centaury is amazing! It was also great to see EastEnders slightly lower down in the ratings too! but since then Corrie has just gone from strength to strength, they really did deserve the best serial drama award at the NTA's because that is exactly what it is! When Richard died I always wanted his body to have disappeared, it would have been very interesting! But as you say Brian wanted him to die which was probably for the best as Corrie has always been a very moralistic soap. I've been to the place where they filmed Richard's last scene, as the whole building behind the canal is actually a museum down in Ashton. It's a great place! - The man there was telling me all about how they filmed the stunt. I took loads of pictures, even though I only live around the corner from it! lol Let's start the ball rolling before Friday; what's everyone's favourite Hillman moment? There are so many to choose from... Although, mine has to be the whole confession episode (I've still got it on tape! lol) I think that was best moment because as it was a pure two hander it really did highlight how good an actor Brian Capron really is, I think he totally deserved all the awards that he won after he left the street. However, the only bit I didn't like was when Gail slapped him! I don't think he was expecting a full on impact slap - He looked a bit shocked after it, bless him! Such great Corrie moments to choose from though! Who can forget the evil stare?! ;D

Hi CapronCrazy! Sounds like you had fun taking pics. The only bit I knew about on location was when Audrey and Archie broke into Gail's house to dig up some dirt and when he turned the car round to go back home (Bethany spilled her drink or something), that was at the Museum of Science and Industry behind Granada. I only recognised that because I'd been there the September before. Pity Brian never contributed to that show tonight. Nice to see Richard (and they got the figure right for the demise since I have noticed lately the press keep quoting the 20 million for that and not the confession). No Alan Bradley though. He's Richard's nicer predecessor! Favourite Richard bit? Hmm. Like you say, so many to choose from! Frightening Norris in the flats. I loved that. It made you think he was going to do him in but he let him go instead. Menacing that man! LOL!
