Well have just watched it,and the accompanying 'Behind the scenes'...very good and enjoyable...but it dfoes make me laff..a tortoise with a bad leg could have run away from those robots and tin soldiers....Hamish Wilson hasn't aged well as he..mind you it is 40 years ago..All in all very good..its the first Patrick Troughton adventure I have watched all the way through...and can't Wendy Padbury scream !!!!!!

LOL! Same with all the monsters. Daleks were pretty slow too. Hamish Wilson looks VERY different now. Bit like a wrinklier Christopher Robbie. Padders can scream, yes. I'm surprised these girls never lost their voices. It's a weird story but as has often been said, because of the strangeness was ideal when Frazer got chickenpox so could easily replace him until he was better. This story is one of my faves and I've often wondered if they kept the name The Master in mind for future reference.

I wondered that about the Master too..at first I thought (Not knowing too much about the early years) it was THE the masters first appearance....all in all..a good romp...Mind you I thought that was a bit much when Wendy said it would have been good if they had found Hamish was so good, they didn't have Frazer back...that'll be her off his Christmas card list !!

LOL! Yes. Frazer will get his own back on Padders somehow. Hamish Wilson I thought was pretty ropey though didn't do too bad considering he'd just been drafted in at such short notice. There's the War Chief in The War Games which could be an early Master. Both renegades and dressed in black. He may have got killed by we know Time Lords regenerate. Well, so many times. I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

I saw that at Panopticon 2002 in Manchester. They used he excuse for no cabaret that JNT was dead and bugger all was a tribute, despite the fact JNT used to organise cabarets so them actually doing one would have been a better tribute than some crappy band and Basil Brush. But it was funnier than I'd expected it to be. Much better than the rubbish calling itself Basil Brush is now.
