We older fans are getting them anyway, great and lousy (that's the stories, not the fans). But I was just curious to know if anyone who's never seen the show before on UK Gold or grew up with it would be curious about older stories.

Maybe, i saw bits, most of which is a blurred memory, but with all the hype of the new series and the prgrammes before it like Doctor Who night and etc, i might be tempted.
I'd love if the BBC just repeated them all of course, but i doubt that'd ever happen. My interest would lie mainly in the baker, Pertwee and McCoy years though.

They started to with Pertwee on BBC2 after the DW night in 1999 but then jumped to Genesis of the Daleks which they've repeated most so it got bad ratings and they stopped.
McCoy's are hit and miss. I don't think those with Bonnie Langford are as bad as people say. After all, there are worse! The Green Death is a good one from Pertwee. Very enviromental and ahead of its time really about pollution. But then the Pertwee era did enviromental issues quite a few times, mainly because the producer was into that. The Ark in Space, Robots of Death and Talons of Weng-Chiang are good Tom Baker ones. The 80s tended to get too bogged down in continuity though Earthshock with Peter Davison is a very good one.

I really enjoyed Earthshock (Although I think Beryl Reid was miscast)..in those days they went out of their way to keep the appearance of Daleks,or in this case the Cybermen, top secret

Except when they put the name of the baddie in the title. LOL! Beryl Reid I agree about. She was a bit rubbish too.
