IMO a good episode all round....Good lord and all that talk of bisexuality !!..and The Doctor always being a fine figure of a masculine man (Ahem)....But I see they have gone back to the 'next week' before the credits ...grrrrr

Yes I enjoyed this apart from a few gripes.
1) Too much bloody music 2) Too much talk of gay activity as if it was the norm in the 40s when it was far from it, especially in the army. 3) All that dancing crap. 4) The bloody Slitheen retruning next week! 5) The 'Next Time' trailer!!!!!!
I loved the line from the Doctor about putting up cabinets as he defended his sonic screwdriver.
Can't believe there's only 3 left. Hasn't it gone fast?

I was thinking how quickly it had gone Patsy..10 weeks already..!!....I suppose in all fairness it was only the Doctor and Jack talking about gay activity, and they are from the much more liberal minded future..and there would have been gay soldiers..not that they would have admitted it. I switched off as soon as I heard 'Next time'
How many weeks were the origianl series..??..I'm sure they seemed to go on longer..in fact they must have done, most of the stories were at least 4 episodes long

24 weeks, but they were 25 mins an ep back then until Colin Baker's 45-min ones. Then he came back in 1986 with crappy Trial of a Time Lord at a meagre 14 weeks, which Sylvester's tenure carried on. I dare them to put it up against Corrie now. LOL!

I remember them putting it up against Corrie..they always do that with something they want to get rid of,blaming it on poor ratings...what do they expect !!??...I think they should go back to 25 minute episodes with a longer series

I thought it was very good, definitley my favourite story of the whole series so far (I wnder if that will change after eps 12 + 13?).
I was amazed though with all the sexual references, especially with the show being aimed at children. I wonder if it will get rapped on the knucles by Broadcasting Standards people.
I have mixed feeling about the Slitheen being back next week, or one of them anyway. I also have a feeling that the Dalek's will make a return somehow involved with those little things.
I hated the Doctor's big head at the end of the episode though, but apart from that it was brilliant.

I thought it was terrific, I like Captain Jack, it would be good if he stayed around for a while
Just a bit of a quibble, if it was supposed to be the Blitz, why was Big Ben lit up like a Christmas tree ? Wasn't there a blackout.?

Hamds up who guessed Nancy was the boy's mum and not his sister? She was far too obsessed with him in part 1 to be his sister. I don't like story arcs except in small doses. And as good as these 2 were, I couldn't help still being reminded of The Curse of Fenric with the romance sidebar and stuff. And why did Rose tell Nancy about the Germans losing the war? She could tell everyone which might result in the Allies getting sloppy then changes the course of history.
The Slitheen were crap last time. I expect the next issue of Dr Who Magazine will have letters full of praise for the series again. So it was quite refreshing reading the Celestial Toyroom last week with 2/5 letters slagging off Aliens of London/World War Three, one saying it wasn't bad but then pointed out all the crap and said it could have been better and one criticising the inane grinning Doctor going round saying, "Fantastic!" all the time! There's a review picking out all the plot holes and also a review for The Unquiet Dead saying there needs to be longer eps and why. Thank goodness the Appreciation Society doesn't suck up to the Beeb!

The character of Nancy, with her plaits, reminded me of the character of Liz Skinner, played by Cheryl Burfield,in the early 70's kids series 'Timeslip' ..does anyone remember it..i have it on DVD..it tackles the subjects of Global warming, organic food,cloning..all years ahead its time...very good

Well I actually thought in the first episode that Nancy was interested in her brother because her parents had died, and she hadn't looked after him.
Then it became a tiny bit more obvious in the second, but was still a bit of a surprise.

I'm a bit young for Timeslip. Maybe Steven Moffatt was a fan! LOL!
Pity we have the Slitheen back next week. Couldn't RTD come up with something new?

Een though i didn't see part one, i have to admit, i actually did enjoy part two.
I am disspaointed a) the next time thing again b) Slitheen - AGAIN.
"Moooomy! Are you my mommy?"
I also liked actually seeing the masks push through the skin and see how it mutated there heads.

Yesm that with the masks was very good. But did you hear the odd cracking sound effect even though they're meant to have been removed? There was one in part 1 briefly but I thought I heard another in part 2.

I haven't heard anything about complaints for those saying it was too scary, unlike The Unquiet Dead. It was pretty scary but I loved it and hope it's as good with the second viewing.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything bad either about it. It is amazing as it was actually rather scary I thought. Those censor people are rather twisted in their crazy decisions.

I know. I mean, 'cruelty to Daleks'?? Are they on the same planet?
