I went for Tom. He's the one I saw mainly despite starting with Pertwee and The Three Doctors when I was 3.

I'm saying CE because he's the only one I've watched. I've seen Paul McGann in other things and he didn't impress me very much at all. If I saw a few DW reruns in between now and Christmas maybe my mind would be changed.

Paul McGann has developed his Doctor more in the Big Finish audios. You can see them on UK Gold but unfortunately it's the 80s with JNT as producer. Not the greatest of stories durng those years! It's currently Peter Davison (the 2-part The Awakening on Saturday morning and the dire Frontios on Sunday). They have Planet of Fire on the 2nd (completely skipping Resurrection of the Daleks where Tegan leaves) and Caves of Androzani (Peter's last when he regenerates into Colin Baker) on the 3rd. I'm not a fan of that because Robert Holmes just recycled so many things he'd used before but it is a fan fave and better than a lot during the Davison era.

Patrick Troughton for me - the 'forgotten' Doctor who had the hardest task of all, to prove that regeneration could work for the very first time. No one had done it before, but he succeeded and proved that it could work. And some fantastic stories he had too, alas! Far too many of them live on only in my memory. Though the remastered brilliant THE MIND ROBBER dvd (sleeve signed for me by Wendy Padbury in April at the WSM gig) may be able to convince you. Or even THE SEEDS OF DEATH remastered dvd (sleeve signed for me by Wendy and by Frazer Hines, yay!! ) and see, I'm not mentioning the fantastic 'associates' he had with him such as Anneke Wills and Wendy Padbury.. or Frazer Hines or Michael Craze if you prefer SS

Frazer for me every time! Such a great kisser! I like Patrick Troughton. It's a shame so many of his were junked. He's my favourite actor. I liked Polly. Never liked Ben or Zoe much. Or Victoria though Debbie Watling is really nice. Have you met her? So tiny! Patsy

I've got for Tom as well, although there are aspects of all of them that I like. Just a pity that some of Hartnell's & Troughton episodes are missing so we can't get a complete picture of their time as The Doctor.

Yes. Though I'd happily swap The Web Planet for Marco Polo!

Maybe you should leave it until he's done a complete series.

According the the latest Celestial Toyroom, the new series is unlikely to be ready for the rumoured January airing. So maybe March again and the new poll in June! Patsy
