No idea if this is true but the Mirror reported the other day there would be a DW special for it. At last something worth watching if they haven't got it wrong again!

I wish they wouldn't do 'specials' for Children in need..they are usually rubbish

Like The Five Doctors being the classic example! I'm not sure about this. They made such a big deal about introducing the new Doctor at Christmas so this will bugger things up a bit. Patsy

Yes ..I would rather wait and see him in a proper episode not singing and dancing in Albert Square with basil Brush and BBC newreaders

Looks like it's true. The latest TV Times 'exclusively reveals' it will be part of CiN on the 18th. Thank goodness it's not the 11th. I'd have hated having to rely on my dad to tape it for me while I'm in Stockton!

Apparently it's only about 3 minutes. That's what I heard over the weekend anyway.

I have seen a tiny clip of it on the trailers for Children in need........what annoys me is tho....is it going to be serious or daft?...and you can't have the Christmas episode like he has just regenerated

This is what I'm wondering. They make such a big deal about Christmas being the 10th Doctor's debut but it clearly isn't now. From what I can remember being told (I was pissed), it will explain about his regeneration or something. That could be wrong though.

It said in todays paper that tonights Children in need DW special is a link from his regeneration to the Christmas story...so i suppose i had better watch it If any news readers come in as aliens,or if they land anywhere near Albert Square...I'm turning off and composing a stiff letter the the BBC

Well, it started okay enough. Then they had to have the music drown out the dialogue AGAIN! Did anyone hear what was being said towards the end? I could only catch some when they spoke louder. That is one of the main problems during the last series. It's ridiculous. It's meant to compliment it, not take over. RTD should know better being a fan. Never had this problem before.

I agree about the music Pats..I had to really strain to hear........me and him indoors decided to open a big bar of cadburys dairy milk to watch it...by the time we had got the wrapper off it was all over..!!
How do we know that was specially recorded for Children in need..??..I bet it was just taken from the opening of the Xmas episode

A friend of mine said the same thing, though she had no problem hearing the dialogue. It will have to be included in Christmas Invasion to explain things. More likely an advert for it!

From what I did hear, he doesn't appear to be using his lovely Scottish accent.

I noticed that too. He seems to be a manic Doctor like Tom. Have to see how he pans out.

I heard most of it. It was only near the end when the regeneration was going wrong I started having the trouble trying to hear over the music. Maybe it's my TV.
