Well it was better than the Daleks one despite the inclusion of flaming Jackie and Rose's dead dad. However there were still far too many unanswered questions. Is Davros meant to have invented Cybermen now? Or is it just in a parallel universe Mondas never existed? Why have they got cheekbones? Why have their voices - far from the deep, butch mentioned on DWC, reverted to Tomb-type? Anyone else notice the mention of International Electromatics? Not surpriseing since the premise of being controlled by gadgets connected to modern technology is a complete rip off from that. And Lumic/Davros seems a similar character. Wouldn't be surprised if he's had some Cyber enhancing like Tobias Vaughn. And was anyone else reminded of Genesis of the Daleks in the pre-title scene? Is this assistant that rounds up the homeless going to be a Packer-type without the humour?

Oh yeah. I just remembered Inferno was similar, albeit with the Tardis console rather than the actual Tardis. And what was that Davison one (not alternate universes) where they were stuck because the Tardis broke up? The Mind Robber with Patrick Troughton also has them stuck because of a useless Tardis. "Last Tardis"? I don't think so. The Monk's got one. The Rani's got one. And it's not powered by the universe but the Eye of Harmony. Where? Gallifrey! Purlease. RTD and his cronies are getting as bad as the soaps for changing the past. Or Terry Nation. LOL! Give me the original series any day. Even the dire Warriors of the Deep isn't as badly written as these are and at least you get explanations to what the hell's going on. Was watching Genesis of the Daleks earlier and it's superb (though I don't think it deserves the title of best ever story because it isn't). You know what's going on all the way through. Brilliantly written and acted without relying on special effects. Can't wait for Inferno next month! 167 minutes never dragging unlike the 45 these days. They just don't know how to tell a story in that space of time.
Oh yeah and another plug for bloody Torchwood which I'm starting to hate already so won't watch it!

Well we watched the repeat on BBC3 tonight......not very impressed I am afraid....bit fed up of going back to Rose's mum and dead dad all the time..I noticed the plug for Torchwood too...
and is it me..or in the old Doctor Who..didn't the viewer find out things at the same rate as the Doctor and his assistant?..I don't remember a lot of scenes where plot developments were shown unless the Doc or an assistant was there..so the viewers discovered things at the same rate as the Doc and/or assistants...or am i wrong??

It was pointed out to me that all that stuff with Rose and her dad we'd been through already last series. I hadn't noticed, probably because unlike the original series, these aren't memorable. Also weren't they stuck there too because the Tardis was knackered due to events?
Yes in some instances. Though we also saw the evil villains plotting to some extent so knew what their plans were. But things were made clear as the story went along. These Doctors are miles apart from their predecessors probably because they aren't written for as well. I hate to say this but this comeback is getting very boring, very fast and I won't be sorry if it didn't go to another series. Give me Trial of A Time Lord (which I hate) any day. May be overly long, crap, pointless like a lot under JNT but at least the characterisation was there and you didn't have all sorts of unanswered questions and massive plot holes. Plus not constantly going back to include overused family members! Someone said to me Jackie should die. LOL!

It will be interesting to see how this coming episode goes down with you in particular Patsy mainly because of the big spoilers I've been hearing.
Episode 5 was okay I thought, but why did the Cybermen have to be revealed at the very start of the episode? I was actually starting to root more for Jake, Ricky and Mrs Moore in some parts of the episode than the Doctor and Rose.
Mickey visiting his dead gran was a really good scene I thought though - something you wouldn't see in old Doctor Who! A fairly average episode on the whole.

Am I allowed to use really bad language? LOL!
I see no one's done a review so I'll do one.
