She has done well has Thelma. I don't think she has been out of work at all since leaving Corrie.

Did you see her in Midsomer Murders the other week? She was excellent. Couldn't get used to that posh accent though. LOL!

Actors from Coronation Street, Desperate Housewives and Spooks are reportedly the latest casting additions for the third series of Doctor Who.
The Sun reports that the revived family show will have an episode set in 1930s New York that will feature actress Miranda Raison, who plays Jo Portman in Spooks, as a 'sexy showgirl'. An insider told the paper: "We always like to add a touch of glamour and Miranda's got it in spades."
71-year-old former Coronation Street star Anne Reid, who portrayed Valerie Barlow, is also set to line up in the new series alongside Ryan Carnes, who played gardener Justin in Desperate Housewives.
Doctor Who won three awards at last night's National Television Awards, with David Tennant taking Most Popular Actor, Billie Piper picking up Most Popular Actress and the show scooping Most Popular Drama.

I've heard of Anne Reid alright - her exit from Corrie continues to be legendary. I've also seen Ryan Carnes in DH, and considering he played a gay character in DH, I wouldn't be surprised at the type of role RTD may have in store for him. Never heard of the Spooks actress though. Be funny to see Cardiff done up as the Big Apple won't it?

Cardiff as NY? Hmm. Don't see it so there'll have to be a lot of road shots. LOL!
