We watched 'Spearhead from Space on BBC4..very good..it must have been a shock to the viewers to get a new doc and a new assistant in the same episode

And at least they had the time to develope that "threat" from the Autons & build up the tension in Spearhead. In Rose it was all very rushed & there was no real sense of danger or menace. A complete letdown. |

Oh bugger. I think I forgot to tape this last night.
Someone one Teletext said old DW was crap having watched Spearhead. It's an introductory ep. There are some real classics later on in the Pertwee years. Tosser!
I'm not keen on Terror of the Autons because, apart from The Master's introduction, it's pretty much the same thing. Though I do like the killer daffodils.
