Its taken me ages to get around to watching these two, as I've had them on tape and been ill as well as really busy.
Episode 6 with the scary flesh eating villagers was ripped of many 90's teen horror films, but still was fairly good. I was surprised that it turned out to be humans though, which was a slight let down - though twice as scary. The end came as a major surprise with Gwen and Owen. I thought she would stay faithful for another few episodes at least!!! I have to admit the scenes earlier in the episode with Owen pushing Gwen up against a tree were unexpected.
Episode 7 was good, but with a pretty rubbish end. Here was a brilliant actress (Daniella Denby-Ashe) playing a right cow of a character. We could see she was using Tosh and was going to get nasty, but the end was god awful. Sending her to the sun for goodness sake. And the whole thing about Ancient Greece - which confused me even more. Everything was set up for a really good ending and then we got a crap one instead. Also Owen is so incredibly selfish going by this weeks episode - but why would he not want Tosh to tell Rhys about him and Gwen? Doesn't make sense at all.
Apparently the series has been getting about 5 million viewers an episode, with combined BBC3 and BBC2 and work has started on the second series.

Must be doing very well on BBC2 then. BBC3 is averaging a million apparently.

The first 3 episodes I thought were okay however episode 4 I thought was brilliant and it beecame Must See TV for me. 5 was okayish, 6 I agree with Eithne 100%
As to episode 7, maybe I wasn't in the right mood however I really couldn't get into it and I actually turned off after 20 minutes. My husband and I were totally bored. The villain was good and I almost kept watching to see what she was really up to however the rest of the episode was so slow in moving that I just gave up.
I will certainly watch next week though as episode 7 has been the only one I've switched off up to now. Although I must admit by about 30 minutes in of evrey episode my attention span starts to go just to pick up again around 38 minutes in. Is it just me or could they tell the story in 30-35 minutes as opposed to 45-50 minutes?

Is it just me or could they tell the story in 30-35 minutes as opposed to 45-50 minutes? No, you are not the only one. I'm exactly the same! They could easily do that IMO. A lot of the stories are like that. 50 minutes is a strange amount of time for the show to be on for - it should either be an hour with better, more detailed stories (like most tv series) or 30-35 minutes, as you said Lane.

Ah so while DW could be longer, TW could be shorter. That's interesting.
