Having finally got round to the DVD of The Invasion today, I saw this much-lauded animation of episode 1. I thought animation meant the characters moved. These all seem to have the same expressions and stay in the same positions while Zoe reminded me of Daphne in Scooby Doo and the Doctor's bag were so enormous you could carry all your Christmas shopping in and still have room for the Easter eggs!
Having said that it really is a good effort and with the original sound recording you can forget how bad some of the animation is and be drawn into the story. I hadn't realised (having not listened to my BBC CD) how much about IE and the goings on had been explained in episode one. Watching the eps on video you don't really notice the two missing parts as everything is explained along the way. But this now adds more depth to it. So I say a resounding yes.
