I just found this on digital spy ok. all I can say is thank god for that because she and Dr Who were not suited for romance Val ________________________________ Freema Agyeman has revealed that Martha Jones will have a lover when she returns to Doctor Who. The actress, 27, has explained that Martha will have given up on her hope of a romance with the Doctor after spending time away from him, so fans can expect a much different relationship between the two. "Martha will be in a relationship by the time she returns to The Doctor so that part of her soul will be fulfilled. So I think she'll look at her relationship with the Time Lord with fresh eyes - older and much, much wiser," Freema is quoted by the Daily Star as saying. "The last time they saw one another was after she'd just saved the world, so she went out on a high. When they meet up again, it'll be odd, so I imagine they'll be sizing each other up a bit!" Martha will make a "triumphant return" to the Tardis in the middle of the next series. Catherine Tate has been confirmed as the new full-time companion.

There shouldn't be any of that rubbish in it anyway. It's not what the show is about.

I agree with you Patsy but I think the shows scriptwriters and producer has forgotten what dr who is about and thats why this rubbish is in it now

RTD is obsessed with sex. It doesn't need it. There's plenty of kids who enjoy the original and attend conventions, looking forward to meeting the past cast.

You and me both, Valda. Oh dear. Makes me glad to be missing it. I can't go through yet another gooey-eyed companion even if it wasn't Catherine Tate.

I can understand a younger companion probably holding the Doctor in awe and possibly having a crush on him to start with..but after a while when that same younger companion has saved his skin umpteen times (which seems to have happened a lot) then i would imagine you would soon lose your rosy tinted glasses

Quite a few held him in awe but didn't want to get into his Time Lord undies. He was their friend and they respected him. I prefer it that way. Makes for a better relationship.

It does annoy me the way they've tried to make out since the series ended that the Doctor was in love with Jo which is why he behaved that way when she announced she was marrying Cliff. Never mind he'd already realised "the fledgling flies the coop" after she turned down his invitation to go to Metebelis 3. The Doctor knows when the time's come he'll lose his latest friend without getting all lovey-dovey over it. They'll be saying next he was in love with Ian and Barbara! LOL!

LOL! Yes that's right. Some elements of fandom reckon she wasn't really his granddaughter, don't they? Purlease!
