Well done Patsy that is more or less right
The answer is that they all left suddenly without notice and the scripts had to be hastily rewritten
Jacqueline Chadwick had pregnany complications and left so a double was used for her last scenes where she was arguing with Mike in the distance she got in a car,drove off and was never seen again
Sandra Gough as Irma had personal problems and dissapeared and didn't returned..Irma was said to have gone to visit relatives in canada
Louise Duprey who played Amy had some sort of breakdown and left suddenley ..in the scenes where Andy McDonald broke off their engagment they used a non speaking double with her back to the camera..when Andy said 'its over' she ran out the room crying and that was the last we saw of her
