If you want to know what Coronation Street is going to look like this Christmas then check out my website. I've just returned to Spain from the UK and took some great pictures of the set. Check out www.tarantulasweb.com/derek/ and click on 'Coronation Street' and then 'Christmas Street'. Hope you enjoy.

Great pics. ;D Makes me feel all Christmassy. But what's the betting it'll rain in Manchester for Christmas? I've only seen the Street from the museum behind it because by the time I finally got to Manchester, the buggers had stopped the tours. Patsy

i remember in 1982..me and some friends went to Manchester,it was just after they had built the new set when Mike Baldwins old factory and the Community centre were there, and long before the studio tours..and we were really cheeky and just walked straight into the set,no one stopped us..we watched them filming a scene with Suzie Birchall walking up the street to take a box of gone off cream cakes back to the corner shop..we stood there for about an hour watching the comings and goings

LOL! Did no one notice that whole time? They must have thought you were extras. Don't think people could do that these days. Patsy

The pictures were taken from the musuem. Just head for the top floor of the 1st building and go into the area called 'Xperiment'. You get some great views from there.

Patsy, when we did that it was before Brookside, before Esatenders..there was only 2 episodes of Corrie a week,2 episodes of Emmerdale farm and 3 episodes of crossroads...none of this 'soap fever' had gripped the nation...ahh the heady days ;D
