At school, Duncan cracks on to Tasha, so Kim steps in and slams a locker door on his fingers. That'll learn him, eh? Later, Hyde drags Kim out of class and demands to know if he's trying to ruin his father's standing in the community. Duncan is the son of one of the most important (read: "curmudgeonly") members of Summer Bay, but we suspect that Alf would find the bruised fingers long overdue. In fact, when Duncan tries to get out of going back to school because of his injury, Alf is having none of it. So Duncan has no choice but to while away his afternoon baiting Kim in a classroom. And though Kim ignores Duncan's taunts, Tasha sees red and physically attacks him. A humiliated Duncan vows revenge, later stealing Kim's cadet uniform. Hyde decides that because Duncan and Kim seem to hate each other so much, they will be captains of the cadets in the war games planned for the weekend. Two teams; paintball guns; heated tempers; and lots of bush. What could possibly go wrong?
Old friendships die hard
Although there is awkwardness between Sally and Leah, the former is more than happy to comfort the latter when she whinges about her problems with Jesse. Later, Leah tries to talk with Jesse again, buying him a coffee at the Surf Club and batting her eyelids, but it's obvious that he's not interested. She feels rejected for the second time in as many episodes, and what makes it worse is Colleen gossiping about it all to Norman! One severe rollicking for table five, please. Meanwhile, Sally has a chat with Jesse, who reveals that he won't be setting himself up for another fall. As far as he's concerned, both of them need some space. If only Leah would agree...
Cats may like him, but we hate him
Felix runs into Dani and expresses feigned concern over the news of the boat sinking. Dani is tempted to wipe the smile off his face with a housebrick, but decides not to give him the satisfaction of admitting to being worried. Anyway, hasn't he been served with the restraining order yet? Noah is worried that he has, but is paying no attention to it. So he fronts Felix and slaps the metaphorical thumbscrews on him by asking what happened to a certain Damien Brownlow. Felix replies that he had a mental breakdown, and Noah surmises that Felix was probably the nasty piece of work who caused it. This is one guy that Dani really doesn't need against her...
