War is over, if you want it - or so John and Yoko once sang. However, Duncan certainly won't be giving peace a chance at the cadet war games, despite Alf's reminder that the event is about team bonding and not personal vendettas. Something makes us think that he should have saved his breath; there's no way that Duncan will ever play by the rules. Why start now, eh? Anyway, as Hyde begins the first drill, Kim thanks his father for telling Brooke to come and see him before realising that his demonic dad has an ulterior motive. Meanwhile, Sally wrings her hands and informs the students of the dangers of paintballing. Potential death traps are mentioned more than once, as is the phrase "ooh, it could have your eye out". As the activities get under way, Duncan explains the rules to his team; sitting, waiting and preparing for ambush is the order of the day. Tasha finally begins to realise that Duncan is her real enemy, and so her tactics change. Duncan is ambivalent, though, as he's just looking out for himself. All he cares about is getting one over on Kim and Hyde...
Dani's still being bugged
Scott and Dani arrive home from the hospital, pleased that Kirsty has agreed to the biopsy. They decide to celebrate with a drink but end up with cockroaches instead of Coke! The fridge is full of the disgusting little critters, leaving Dani and Scott to surmise that the dastardly Felix has struck again. As Scott and Noah discuss payback, Dani tells them that Felix won't break his restraining order; he's too clever for that. She has something up her sleeve, but what? And don't say her arm. Meanwhile, Hayley seems to be heading for divorce, even though she and Noah haven't even got hitched yet. She's spoken to his ultra-religious mother, Jill, about the coming wedding and her future husband is furious that she went behind his back. Noah gave in to the idea of a church wedding - anything for a quiet life - but he won't be waiting at the altar should his mum turn up. There's seemingly better news for Leah and Jesse, though; they've reunited, but Dani and Hayley know that they're far from getting back to normal...
Army dreamers
Back in the bush, Tasha - who is doing her best Private Benjamin schtick - confronts her besotted boyfriend, Robbie. It's a big moment for her, as she doesn't want to shoot her boyfriend, even if it is just with a paintball. Robbie's army has been ambushed; Duncan is holding up the flag. The game is over, and a viciously victorious Duncan orders his team to shoot the losers! Can they court martial him for this, d'you think? Not if Morag has much to do with it, we suppose. Anyway, back at base camp, everyone is preparing to leave. And as a cruel smile creeps across his face, Hyde is shot in the eye with a red paintball. Ow. Neither Kim nor Duncan is in the vicinity at the time. An ambulance is called; Hyde is in big trouble. Who just couldn't hold fire?
