I do think some of the characters are seriously being neglected in the storyline department.....Rita,Norris,Audrey,Liz,Betty,Emily,Fiz,Kirk,Frankie,Danny,Mike are all very under used its a crime !!

The most under used person is Eileen (Sue Clever). She's one great actor and a fantastic character. More Eileen please.

She hasn't had a decent storyline in years! U only ever c her behind the bar in the Rovers. And, Rita' s last real storyline was the whole Chesney storyline...

Helen Worth hasn't had a good storyline of her own since the Hillman days, where she really excelled herself.

She is sooooooooo wooden she must b 1 of the worst actresses ever! Did she excell herself? I still thought that she was appalling...

Well Frankie and Danny haven't really been given any stories so as we can get to know them first, before we have too many major stories.
Other soaps have done this with their new families, and then the characters have had nowhere to go.

They have probably got a rota system a bit like Emmerdales. Work so many have a couple of weeks off.

Did you know that Eileen Grimshaw currently lives at No11 Coronation Street. The most famous occupant of that house is obviously Elsie Tanner. And Elsie's maiden name was - Grimshaw. Are the two related? ?

I think Helen Worth is a great actress as well-the part she played in the Hillman storyline was definitely excellent acting.

Definately need more stories for Eileen. It's an overlooked character. One focused on her, I mean, because there was the Todd story which involved her, but wasn't based around her. Also, I want to see more of Les' rubbish schemes, like being a bad DJ!

Reet, definitely. It would be nice to see Betty do more than retire then change her mind as well as serving hotpots. Though thankfully under Tony Wood she has had more lines and some good comedy ones like the old days with Annie, Fred and Bet.
There's too much focus on the youngsters these days so even the likes of Eileen get so underused. Sod the youngsters. They aren't the future. They never stay. The big problem is too many eps and too many cast. Cut back on both.
