Barry Hyde and Irene go out on their date and after the initial awardness between the two, seem to have a good night. Barry gets completely drunk which is quite funny but embarrasing to him. They have a chat about alsorts and seem to have a good evening, and he says he is glad they are having dinner together that night. Irenen breaks the ice once more by saying she is too, if only it is to make sure that he does not try to drive the car home, once again there is a very embarrased Mr. Hyde! He asks to take her out again at the end of the night, though she refuses saying she enjoyed it though with her past history of dates with principles she will pass. He apologises again for drinking too much but Irene tells him not to worry, he 'loosened' up! If nothing else, a good friendship will come out of these two.
Meanwhile, elsewhere Hayley fights the college over her rejection to get back in.
