We wouldn't say that Jesse was a grouch, but we keep expecting him to paint himself green and leap out of trashcans at passing children. So imagine our astonishment when he cracks a smile during Kim's training session. Secretly, he's decided to move back in with Leah, but does she really want him? Well, although she tells Flynn that she wants to work things out with Jesse, it seems to us that she's still hot to trot for Sally's man and is dying to have him to herself behind the diner bins. Later, Jesse drops by for his daily caffeine fix and is charmed by Colleen's suggestion of taking Leah on a picnic lunch date. He does so and, once they've polished off the last of the mini pork pies, Jesse leans forward to kiss Leah. However, it's an awkward moment, not least because of the scotch egg breath. On her way back to the diner, Leah bumps into Hayley and excitedly reports that she and Jesse almost kissed. It's not long, though, before Jesse arrives to do the job properly with a full-on smooch.
Brooke no further
Irene tells Kim that his ex-girlfriend, Brooke, finally got around to returning his call. Kim is eager to dash off to the city and see her, but Irene reminds him that he's been drafted for the school paint-balling session and that his father will be putting on his best butt-kicking boots should he fail to show up. Besides, Irene needs him to keep an eye on Tasha! Later, as Kim wanders around town on a hunt for Robbie, he spots babbling Brooke herself. She offers him the chance to see his son and, back at the beach house, Irene entertains the mite as Kim and Brooke have a deep and meaningful. When he finds out that Hyde has been a near-perfect grandfather, Kim is cut to the bone. Irene, meanwhile, is intrigued. Is there more to Brooke and Hyde's relationship than meets the eye? Shudder.
Can you smell something funny?
The police are at the Palace, telling Dani (through mouthfuls of doughnut) that there is no proof of Felix breaking his restraining order. Their hands are tied, they oink, before suggesting that Dani tape a conversation with him as proof. Later, as Noah and Hayley bicker about their wedding arrangements, there's a knock at the door. It's a delivery of manure for Dani; Felix has struck again in a particularly stinky manner. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Flynn tells Kirsty that she could end up on dialysis! The docs want to do a biopsy, but Kirsty refuses. Kane is scared; at the moment, the baby is fine, but if Kirsty continues to say no to treatment then complications will surely arrive. Dani and Kane agree - for once - that Kirsty needs to be persuaded into it. However, the woman in question is eager to check herself out, then presumably go down to the beach in order to bury her head in the sand. Will Flynn lay down the law?
