Look away if you do not want to know the following
Kim discovers that he had a brother who died. He tries to get Barry to talk about it. Kim breaks into Barry’s office, but Barry returns. Kim reads his mum’s diary, but will secrets will he find? Barry panics as Kim as taken something else. Then Morag finds out Barry’s astonishing secret….
Will Kim manage to track down his mum at least?
I think this is going to unravel to become a very interesting story. I only hope whatever the secret is that Barry is hiding from his son, it does not lead them back to square one, just lately their relationship has been like it should.
Strangely, I find this storyline strangely like my story 'Hyde and Seek'

This sounds good, Barry is certainly hiding something, and I wonder who he was talking to on the phone?

Judging from the converstaion I would say Kim's Mum. I thought when Kim found that message on the Net regarding Johnathan I said to my other half I bet that is Barry, after all he would not use his real name in that situ would he? And I guess he would ask how she is after losing a child.
Going to be exciting I think, just hope this does not take these two back to square one. I also wonder if we are going to see Kim's mum appear??

Right guys, I have a fav to ask of you, on another section of this board is a poll, that I have done. Would you take part in it BUT answer tha question in this part otherwise we will be being repetitive.
When I started this section up, it was just for the chat, but since I felt this question was to arise in a poll, so I have have had to do that separate.
Thanks

I voted yes. It seems that as Barry would not put Kim's mind at rest about his mother, and it was pretty obvious he was covering something major up. and I don't think Kim had much choice in the matter if he wanted to get to the truth. I don't know what it is ( I do know who he was speaking to on the phone, but I won't give it away ) but Morag looked pretty shocked.

I votd yes as well. Kim has a right to know about his mother and Barry has no right to keep it from him.

Ok, I had better re phrase what I meant here. Yes, Kim HAS got a right to find out about his MUm, I just thought he was not thinking about his father's feeling in it all, and what happened for why his mum and Dad split up. However, I do know that Barry is hiding something and now we know that the lady who Kim thought was his mum is infact Barry's sister. But why did Morag say 'sorry' to Barry after reading THAT letter and why has she refused to pursue it?
My other half thinks barry is NOT Kim's father.

My guess is that Kim's mother was somehow responsible for his brothers death..........or thought she was.

Ok, so what did we all think to last night's epsiode? I thought it was terrific and well rehearsed. I thought the fight was great and well rehearsed considering the age difference between Chris and Ivar and the obvious fitness between then ( IN other words, Chris will be fitter than Ivar - I guess)
I thought it was a tragic tale if that is the word and sad, and I believe Barry, I don't think that was a 'mislead' by the producers and was sad like I said.
I still think in a way that Kim could have handled the situation differently, there was a reason why Barry kept it quiet, and sometimes no matter how much you want to know something, you can't find it out and have to respect someone's feelings. Or at least try and talk it through civily.
I am still wondering if that was Lorraine on the other end of the phone and what was in the letter marked 'Kim' which is why I say I don't think it was a mislead, with what Barry told him. Maybe the letter was from Barry explaining to Kim everything what happened, should anything ever happen to him?

Thar was one of the best soap fights I've seen. Totally believable ( So often you can tell it's fake )
It was a really sad episode.
