Hope you dont mind me starting this thread, Sharon.  What do people think of the current opening titles? I quite like them, they are better than the underwater set we had in 2000 which were blue. The theme tune isnt as good as the original though. We have a couple of updates to the opening credits. On Monday the new family will be added, the following Monday Amanda will be added and then a week later they will change again as the new Hayley will be added. The next changes after that wont happen until the start of the 2006 season when quite a few changes happen as seen here www.backtothebay.net/credits/opening/credits_06a.shtml |

There will be no more changes now to the opening credits now until we reach the start of the 2006 season (which is 15th May here in the uk).

I mean the current uk titles. The next chance will be on the 15th May when Scott/Hayley will be removed and several others shots will be updated. Then the next change after that will be a week later when Peter Baker is added.

Ah right. They tend to have new ones for a lot after the Christmas break here.

They do. They update the Home and Away credits a lot in fairness, they updated them 4 Mondays in a row recently as various people joined and left the cast.

I can't remember what the end was like but I think the same as Ten and ripping off ITV with bland colour.

We get different end credits to Ten here in the uk episodes - im sure I heard they were specially made for Five, or at least specially made for overseas broadcasts.

Probably. I wouldn't know about that. But Flynn has been taken off them now and replaced with Sally by Alf.

I dont watch Neighbours so ive not seen them, but I really like the Home and Away ones.

They're not on UK screens yet but are really horrible. Also Network 10 have gone all ITV with coloured background and cloned credits. Whether they are for foreign sales I don't know but it's horrible. 4 cast names at once but 2 on either side.

I think Five will carry on getting the same end credits for Home and Away that we have now, unless this will chance once we reach 2006 episodes?
