From 'Back To The Bay.' 'Home & Away' to premiere on Five Life News has arrived confirming that the new digital channel Five Life will premiere episodes of Aussie soap Home and Away before they air on Five itself. The digital sister channel will also air an omnibus at the weekends. Exact scheduling has yet to be confirmed. A lot of people will be glad to see the omnibus back.

I assume this will be simular to what E4 do with Hollyoaks "first look"

Ok forgive me here, so a digital channel will be showing the omnibus of H&A whilst the usual showing will be on Channel 5?
I agree with the omnibus coming back, but what about these people who don't have digital or sky and only have 'normal' tv?

Well most people will have digital tv soon when the analogue signal is switched off. Its the same situation with the soaps on ITV - they only show repeats/omnibus on digital channel ITV2 - not ideal but better than nothing

We live in an area where the reception for 'Five' is hopeless ( or non-existent ) The only way it can be received is through Digital, and as you say Jez, in a couple of years that will be the only way to receive anything.

Ok, bear with me here guys, as I cannot do this 'multi quote' thing yet.
Jez, I was a little lost there, what do you mean? Normal Tv will be no longer, as I call it?
Yes, Sooty, my sister down south cannot get it only via her Sky channel, yet I here in Doncaster can get it perfectly, but if I recall, before I lived where I am currently (In my house) I lived in the next street, and yet I could NOT get it there!

Well they will switch off the analogue signal in a few years (between 2008-2014 or something like that depending which area you live) so everyone will have to be on digital by then.

Mmm, I see what you mean, though I still think it is a bit unfair, as alot of people do not have or even maybe want digital.

Well in a few years time people wont have much choice if they switch the analogue signakl off in their area. However by then everyone should be able to get freeview, and you can pick up a freeview box for about £20 - a one off payment.
