From Digital SpyAlan Dale has claimed that he left Neighbours after protesting at the "greedy" and "nasty" behaviour of the show's producers. The actor played Jim Robinson on the Aussie soap from 1985 to 1993. He has since gone on to appear in a number of hit US shows, including The X-Files, 24, The O.C. and Ugly Betty. Speaking to The Stage magazine about his time on the programme, Dale revealed: "It was sweet and the people I worked with were sweet, most of them. "But the producers were greedy and nasty. There are many examples of the things these people did and, as far as I know, are still doing. "When you live in a country where there is not much else to do as an actor, there isn't much choice but to put up with it. But I used to fight them all the time, which is one of the reasons we parted company." I wish he'd make up his mind, one minute he's saying Jim Robinson put him on the actor map......next he wishes people would forget Jim Robinson ever existed. Then he said he left........Last night on Al Murray's programme, he said he was sacked !!

What a misery guts. It was Neighbours who gave him his start in life, he should remember that whenever he slags them off. He sounds so bitter, who would want to employ him if that`s his attitude?

I am more inclined to believe he was sacked. He wouldn't keep moaning if he left willingly. He also seems to have got extremely bigheaded since becoming successful in Hollywood. Australia's better off without him.
