Yeah I haven't watched properly since before Christmas and Ringo's still the same. Is he meant to have lost weight?
He grins too much and is as wooden as the table my laptop's on like KF.

Ringo has an eating disorder and im glad they are covering this storyline as it shows that men can have eating disorders as well as girls.
Good episode today - I liked the stuff with Declan and his mum. Carmella's new business partner is a bit of allright, no wonder she was getting all hot and bothered and it wasnt just his cooking!

As I said.............A good plotline, but Ringo is a character I dislike, so I don't really care about him. Pity it wasn't one of the other characters.

So Aussie end credits. Pity they squished them.
Still pretty dull even without Dullmella. Marco must be a glutton for splinters.

Something I forgot. Is there only one doctor at Erinsborough hospital? And did anyone else notice, despite having a scan, Dullmella's abdomen had no gel on it? She just pulled her gown down afterwards when in reality she'd have been given wads of paper towels to wipe the gel off.

Ive watched it now. Lucky Dullmella having 2 nice fellas arguing over her. She didnt look too happy though did she lol!
I liked the scenes with Bridget and Josh at the pool - I wonder if this will lead to a love triangle with Declan.
I dont like the end credits - they were better on the BBC. Why do they suddenly have a different version now its moved to 5? Were those on the BBC made by the Beeb themselves?

No they'd have been made by Ten. You should have seen the previous Aussie ones. Absolutely diabolical. Think Corrie now with a pink background and white writing but two names per row and just as squashed at the bottom of the screen. I couldn't read them at all when I caught some eps. Five are clearly just showing what Ten do minus the "Coming soon on Neighbours" bit before the credits showing clips of what could be an ep a week later. It was so frustrating. I'd think, "Ooh that looks good. Much watch tomorrow" then it wasn't in it.

They do that with Neighbours as the cast are contracted to so many episodes a week.
I wonder why Five didnt just show the credits the BBC did - I assume they were meant for international broadcasts?

Really? I thought it was because the ratings are so bad they're trying to lure people to watch by having clips of an ep down the line.
No I already said the BBC ones were made by Ten and these are Aussie credits. It's still pretty much the old two names per line as before. Right at the end it says Ten, which the Beeb never had.

Yes im sure with neighbours they are contracted to appear in say 2, 3 or 4 episodes as week. That is why in any given week you will only see Susan for example in 3 episodes. Occasionally if its a big storyline 1 character might appear in them all but this is very rare.
Yeah but I assume the set Ten made were for international broadcasts not specially for the BBC?

But that wouldn't cause a problem with the 'Coming soon' if it was a few eps down the line and the actors were already in it that week. For instance they could show clips of Friday on a Monday and the actors concerned were in it all week.
I have no idea these days about international. In the 90s the Germans had different credits to us for Nachbarn.

Oh I remember Nachbarn - we had it on a Sky channel in the 1990s. How far did they get with Neighbours? When I saw it they were only about 2 years into the show.

It used to be on Sat 1 and they had a different theme too. Can't remember how it went now but translated roughly as from house to house. That's all I can recall of it. LOL! We went digital in 1998 so I have no idea how far they got. I used to watch the German channels quite a bit at one point but got bored with the same old stuff. Sat 1 had a great game in their breakfast show with thier ball. Even my dad used to love watching that.

I think I remember that breakfast game show as well.
When UK Gold started I watched the early episodes of Neighbours before school at about 7.30am (I had such a crush on Danny Ramsay), I then turned over to Sat 1 and Nachbarn was on. I remember the theme tune too - it was cool. Cant find it on you tube or anywhere though.

They don't seem to have Nachbarn any more but I did find Clever, the show I saw in Oz two years ago! I'm surprised we don't have it by now. It's excellent.

No it's a quiz. Like How for grown-ups and funny. It's German originally but Nine bought it and the first ep was the Sunday before I came home.
Anyway back to Neighbours. Dullmella is really getting on my wick. I wish someone would kill her.
What else happened? Oh good acting from Jackie again when Bridgit read out that letter nominating her for teacher of the year.
Can't remember anything else.

I'm looking forward to seeing Libby's little boy Ben. Seemingly his brother plays Micky.

Hands up who didn't guess Mickey would end up locked in the chest? All that scavenging reminded me of Juanita driving down the street, spotting something dumped on the side and putting it in the car.
So Pepper and the woodentop's left - hooray!
Dingo may be getting lightheaded but he's still not lost weight. This is one reason why I hate issues. Actors cannot portray illness accurately, especially if it involves weight loss.

Well Dingo isnt much of an actor to start off with anyway! And I agree Dullmella is annoying at the moment.
Good episode today though, and its great to have Fitzy back. Looking forward to Libby's return too,
I will miss Pepper - wonder what Rosie will do now after Pepper told her about Dingo.

I have been reading a few complaining letters on the tv about how they don't like the new way it is being filmed and looks different since it's move to Five. As someone who obviously has not been paying much attention, I have not actually noticed !! Has anyone else ?

It's the HD thing it went to with the new titles but BBC didn't screen it that way. Same as H&A.
I thought today's was boring today and it was obvious Elle would resign.

Me too. I never liked the HD when Emmerdale experimented but they'll all go over one day. That was one of the criticisms with the revamp too.
