From Digital Spy Neighbours star Alan Fletcher has revealed that the show will undergo a "major transformation" over the next few months. The actor, who plays Karl Kennedy, has told fans to expect a new look and a brand new family joining the Aussie soap later this year. "Neighbours is going through a major transformation at the moment. The show is gearing up to be filmed in High Definition video in coming months. This means a total revamp of sets and backdrops," Fletcher explained on his official website. "Cast changes are on the way too. We have the sad departure of Stephanie McIntosh (Sky Mangel), Nell Feeney (Janelle Timmins), Kyal Marsh (Boyd Hoyland), Adelaide Kane (Louise Carpenter) and Sianoa Smit-McPhee (Bree Timmins) coming up over the next few weeks. As compensation an entirely new family is arriving in Ramsay Street to bring some good old fashioned Neighbours feeling to the street." The changes come following recent low ratings for the soap in Australia.

Has Lolly Carpenter been in the UK eps yet? Jeez she didn`t last long did she. I still have Weds/Thurs/Fri eps to watch.
Good riddance to Boyd, I never did like him.

No Lolly hasnt been in the uk episodes yet.
We saw the 2006 season finale on Wednesday and compaired to Home and Away's finale (which ive only see clips of since its not on for a few more weeks over here) it was rather flat. Neighbours definately needs a boost I think.
No Lolly wont have lasted long, neither has Will as he has already left in Oz and hasnt been in it long.

I agree. The 2005 one was so much better from what I'd read and made me want to see some when I was over there. This was awful. I'm sure Toadie laughed when he fell after being shot.

And the stuff with Toadie and Steph is stupid. As if she would fall in love with someone else so soon after Max.

Must admit I do enjoy watching Neighbours, but last year was much better.
I wonder what the new song will be at the start? It wouldn`t surprise me if it was that background music they play a few times a week..."I`ve never been to Cuba"

Oh I agree about Paul and Rosie. It's pathetic. Gayle's meant to be coming back again.
700,000 isn't too bad I suppose considering the top shows can get only 2 million.

Possible yes but I think this is rather quick. Its only been weeks since Max went missing! And he isnt dead.
Oh good. I like Gayle so im glad she is coming back.
Any idea what sort of viewing figures the show gets on BBC1? I remember the days when it was up there with Corrie and EE in terms of viewing figures and actually got the highest one year.

Max has been gone a few months.
I liked her originally and it was good seeing her again last year.
About 3 million I think for the teatime.

Rachael Kinksky is back in Ramsay Street....with a new shorter haircut. Her and Stingray are back together again *yawn* Boyd had the audacity to tell Max and Steph to work on their marriage. What a bloody hypocrite!!! Towards the end of Frodays episode, Steph told Max he could move back in, but she told him to move into the spare room for the time being. That`s about it Jez. You`ll probably have a quick catch up before Neighbours starts on Monday  |
