(Note that this is based on my opinions of the latest episodes shown in Ireland. We are 2/3 weeks ahead of Channel 4.)
I agree that the scripts are stupid this year - not near as tight and well put together as last series. The Zach thing that "eileengrimshaw" mentioned really bugged me as well. And it is only set to get worse in the next few episodes as they forget to show us Zach's reaction to finding out that Mike is his dad.
It is just forgotten about for a week or two, and then suddenly Zach knows everything! Bizzare!
And the Bree storyline begins to go around in circles as well, as does the Lynette/Tom one. They fight, make up, fight again, make up again. Realistic - yes. Interesting - no.
As for Gabby her stories are getting increasingly OTT each week, and Betty - does anyone know where she has disappeared off to??

I saw it this week on Channel 4. The storyline with Bree's drinking was very well done I thought. She is one of the best characters in it.

I totally agree with you Jez about Bree. Over the next few weeks (for you lot anyway!) she will be the one who really holds the show together.
Well Bree's storyline has improved this week. She's got a new love interest it seems - very different from both Rex and George. And her and Andrew's relationship seems to be hitting rock bottom as she was stunned by his latest threat. She got very drunk, and ended up in a very funny situation.
Watch out in the next few weeks for some very OTT stuff for Susan, more circles for Lynette and a new, interesting story beginning for Gabby.

Yes I want to see more of Andrew and his boyfriend.
Im not keen on the Gabby storyline with her mother - I hope thats the last we have seen of her mother.

I can tell you that Andrew plays a big role for the next two episodes. And that it is the end of Gabby's mother. I totally agree. She really was an annoying character.

Yes Gabby's mum was annoying but Gabby gets some funny lines even though she can be annoying on times too!

They come back soon and there is trouble brewing, with an increasing amount of tension. I hate the way they disappear for weeks on end though!
