Spoilers - the 1st 10 episodes of Season 3

Unusually for US television, the ABC network has aired the first 10 episodes of Desperate Houswives' current season without a single pre-emption. Which means that what is expected to be the last new episode of 2006 will air tomorrow night with Christmas coming early to Wisteria Lane. New episodes are expected to resume in January 2007 - probably after Channel 4 start airing new episodes. So I thought I would put up here for those interested the episode titles and a few spoilers.

This episode is set 6 months later and the title and the fact there is a lot of rain in the episode is symbolic as it is meant to depict a cleaning out and speeding up all the unresolved stories from Season 2. Although ratings wise Season 2 was a success, critically by fans and other, it has been accused of losing its edge. So the creator, Marc Cherry, has taken back full control of Season 3. Mike is now in a coma, with Susan by his side. Bree gets engaged to Orson. Gabrielle and Carlos are getting divorced, but they are brieftly reunited when their 8½ months pregnant surrogate Xiao-Mei runs away. While adjusting to having another child around the house, Lynette realizes that the girl's mother, Nora (guest star Kiersten Warren), is more than she can handle. While at the hospital, Susan is asked on a date by a man, Ian (guest star Dougray Scott) whose spouse is also in a coma. And Edie is desperately trying to sell the Young house.

Susan goes on a date with Ian, but trouble ensues when his in-laws show up at the restaurant. After Nora breaks up with her boyfriend, who was keeping her away from the Scavo house, Tom and Lynette decide to hook up Nora with someone at Bree's wedding. After discovering him trying to break into her house, Edie lets her 18-year-old nephew Austin come live with her for some time. Finally, it's wedding day for Bree and Orson. Meanwhile, the body of a dead woman believed to be Orson's ex-wife is recovered, which interrupts the reception. And Xiao-Mei goes into labor.

A Weekend in the Country
Bree and Orson are going on their honeymoon. Gabrielle and Lynette are going a spa vacation. Tom is going on a camping trip with the kids. And Susan is going on a quiet romantic getaway with Ian. But things don't go as planned. Tom calls with an emergency, and Lynette has to go help him. While at the airport, Bree sees Andrew on television featured as a homeless teenager which cuts short her honeymoon. Gabrielle runs into John (special guest star Jesse Metcalfe). And Susan is still insecure about if she's cheating on Mike.

Deliberately not given synopsis here as I don't want to completely ruin it. If you are like me, you just like teasers. Although I have to say I've been very naughty and been watching clips online and reading all the spoilers. Season 3 looks good bar too much Bree for my tastes.

Bang
This is meant to be the highlight of Season 3. Came with heavy promotion and is considered to be one of the best episodes ever. Most of the characters get caught up in a supermaket hostage situation that results in a death. So don't miss this one.

Bang is an episode I'm really looking forward to, as I've heard so much about it - yet have surprisingly managed not to find out who is killed off. Yay!!! And the title "Sweetheart, I Have to Confess" has me wondering which of the hubbies has something to confess? Tom or Orson??

I know who gets killed off but I won't spoil it for you. Don't go reading spoilers otherwise you will easily find out. Two people die and I think by the time we get to episode 7 we would of worked it out by then. Most of the US audience had. I really can't wait for Bang. Also Children and Art seems like it could be good although to some it was seen as an anti climax after Bang.

Lots of interesting plots unfolding and the Miracle Song is another key episode. The Americans have to wait until 7th January definately now.

My only criticism of Season 3 so far looks to be too much Bree. How desperate do they have to make this fruit cake? Hopefully it just seems worse from the spoilers than it will be in reality.
