I was horrified when it seemed like Max was the one killed I was convinced it was Robert since Karl is leaving.

I hate it being Max, he was the nicest of the Kings, he never got much of a storyline ( Apart from the cow thing ) Now we have the thought that Robert could always be written back in it.

Rob leaves tonight. Maybe he'll go to Spain and return with a new head and personality transplant yet again. Patsy

It always seemed obvious that Robert would live and Max would die, because the Sugdens are a more established family and generally the children of established families don't die because they are central to the show. It is like the Barlows in Coronation Street a bit.

Once Andy's car had gone into the field and Rob's didnt I knew it would be Max but for a moment i thought it may have been both of them when he went back for Max.
This is going to increase the King/Sugden rivalry.

Really gutted that Max was killed,As everyone else says he was the only likeable member of the King family,It seems they have their comeuppence for their dirty tricks.

Poor Max. I wish it had been Rob.

LOL Alex! So that's how she funds her Spanish lifestyle. And there I was thinking she was lapdancing for the locals at the old folks home. I was quite shocked by Jack tonight using the sheep as an excuse. Has he forgotten Rob's mother died in a crash caused by avoiding sheep? It was good tonight. Poor Tom. Yes he's a selfish bastard. But you couldn't help feeling for him. Patsy

Jimmy barely reacted at all to the news.
Well remembered Patsy about Roberts mum. I wasnt watching then but heard about that, but then forgot until you mentioned it!

Death by sheep. Terrible in the Dales. Her car did a bit of spinning too before crashing if I remember rightly. Patsy

It is like the Barlows in Coronation Street a bit. Same here, although i diidn't know Karl was leaving. I was starting to really like Max as well having started to warm to the Kings over the last few weeks. I still felt sorry for Tom, reguardless of how cruel he can be. And yeah, Jimmy just continued to be a plank!

I'm on such a high at the moment, Donna's blubbing over the voice message (awww!), Tom smacking the ground with his cane and let's not forget Jimmy "He was my brother as well as your son" King!
I might even watch it again shortly (i have to tape it as i'm at work)

My dad's been back watching it now 2 weeks (thud!). He stopped originally because he would tape it and got behind. But he's really enjoying it at the moment and is even intending to watch poor Seth's funeral.
Poor Tom. I do feel sorry for him. Just can't help it even though he's as much to blame as Robert for Max's death.

Characters in soap never get their comeuppance though, do they?
Andy is the biggest example of this - he killed his stepmother, got Debbie pregnant when she was only fifteen and now his feud with Robert has ended up with the death of Max! And there is a lot of other things as well.

Andy told Daz that Max was dead and it was all Robert's fault . Not to mention shooting his dad, but getting away with it because he meant it to be Robert. Robert sleeps with Andy's wife and is disowned...hmmm
