I read the other day he is definitely leaving. Does this mean Freda's been brought in as his exit? I know he's a grumpy old sod but I'll miss him.

That's a real shame, if true. He's good value, and altho' a bit 'panto' at times (especially when overdoing the accent), he's been a real asset to the cast.
...and I agree about an exit together with Freda - maybe she will finally persuade him to toddle off to Spain?

He was on the Corrie 80s DVDs as Audrey's boyfriend George who attacked Gail. I hardly recognised him but the voice was the same.
Jarvis is an unlikeable oldie compared to the others but he's still good for comedy. Won't be the same without his grumpy face moaning about everything.

It is a pity that he never really did much. Wasn't there a rumour about his family coming into it at one time? Been interesting if they had - and it could have provided some background to the Frank Bernard storyline.

Well that must be one of the fastest soap exits in history (apart from death). No thought of booking a crossing on the ferry to see if they could shortly. Might be booked up all month! Loved that though at the end when there was that shot of Len, Edna and Pearl with their fingers crossed behind their backs. LOL!

Agreed - and highly unlikely, especially for an old stick-in-the-mud like Jarvis. What about his house? Packing? Making arrangements for his pension to be paid abroad? ...and more importantly, what about his latest batch of home-brew? The storyline seems suspiciously cobbled together in a hurry.

Very good points you've made there, Blackcatz. I'm assuming it was also meant to be Sunday so he couldn't do anything until Monday about his house, pension etc. Daft. Worse I think than Bollywood. Hmm, on second thoughts... Patsy

Very bad exit, but then again he was hardly a much loved character was he? Would we like to have seen weeks and weeks of Jarvis trying to decide whether or not to leave, then deciding to leave and taking more time again to organise everything?
