I realise Marlon is very tall, and Sheree Murpphy (? Is that her name? - Tricia) was always complaining of a crinked neck when she had scenes with him, but last night i fell about laughing. Some very unflattering high camera shots of Diane from Marlon's view making her look like a hobbit and Marlon even taller like Gandalf, both from Lord of the rings!

Trouble is, most of the actors he is in scenes with are shorties.
The only time he is on a level is when he does a scene with Rodders and Jimmy and Jack.

I remember there was an article in a soap mag ages ago about the tallest and shortest people in soap and I think Mark was the tallest.

I must admit his gurning, over acting, and constant arm waving get on my nerves. He is not one of my favourites.

I agree , because out of all the Dingle`s Marlon is the best, I like his humour and when he was married to Tricia they were great together very belivable, and now he and Donna are the same a good couple. btw I was watching tv gold the other day and did a double take as there was Marlon (sorry I don`t know the actor`s name so he`s Marlon to me) as a monk in Cadfeal ,never knew until then he`d been in that.

I think Marlon has gone downhill as a character - he used to be good (and as mentioned, probably the most realistic of the Dingles), but unfortunatley he seems to have succombed to the dreaded Emmerdale Pantoitis virus, whereby it becomes impossible to do/say anything without gurning, over-acting, or being just plain ridiculous.
(See also Viv, Bob, Paddy, Zak, and most recently Chastity and Matthew King - have you watched his eyebrows working overtime? ;D)

I still think Marlon is doing his best he probably was told to do the dreaded pantoitus by the director , give Marlon a chance I still think he can get back to being Realistic with Donna. Zak used to be good too at first but I agree with you there blackcatz Viv, Bob,Zak Paddy even Chastity and Mathew King (yes I love the way is eyebrow`s go into a dance ;D) have got the twich`es recently
