I was 4 weeks behind and couldn't be bothered catching up. I saw Friday's and nothing much had happened. Missed Monday. Watched some this week. ITV are killing them all. It's too many. I haven't watched Corrie since the 29th July bar the odd ep and Reet's bits and I don't miss it at all. A friend of mine hasn't seen Emmerdale since Terence's death and isn't missing it at all.

I havent watched Emmerdale for about 6 weeks now and dont miss it at all. And before that since about Christmas I missed more episodes than I saw. 6 a week is far to many especially when i dont like anywhere near as much as Corrie

It's so easy these days to go off programmes because they're all so crap. Though Nick did say something similar about Corrie back in August so I expect him to start watching again within weeks. LOL!

I dont know if i will go back to Emmerdale - ive watched it quite regularly since the end of 1993 and it was superb in the mid to late 1990s. Its been at least 6 weeks since i saw an episode, maybe longer.

LOL Nick! I had forgotten actually but remembered after I'd posted the first time you did that post saying Corrie had died that day.
I missed half of Emmerdale last night but clearly hadn't missed much. I never got back in the stride after I got back from Australia. I'd catch up eventually then get behind within a few eps again. Yet 5 weeks of EE I caught up with in days. I think if I hadn't already stopped watching Corrie, I would have from Feb onwards.

It was an excellent eulogy. Perhaps you could do something similar about Em.

Aww. Glad you think like that. I think I can guess who one sarky comment was from. We may have disagreements on here but usually it's in a fun way and not a nasty one. Patsy

No rude or sarcastic replies at the time you wrote that post Nick? So that means there were later? You must be pyschic!
Emmerdale always has it's highs and lows. I know what you mean about the amount of time it's on - but it usually does pick up after a few episodes. Hope you do come back to it - I think it's picked up over the last week actually. That Dingle story with the pig was truly dreadful - and far too long

I saw the thread from the begining and Yasmin took hers out that just said "bye".....
I can only suppose that Nick thought she was being sarcastic.... I'm sorry to say this but it could have been taken both ways as you can't tell with Yasmin! IMO!!
I'm too sorry Nick that you don't feel your happy with Emmerdale at the moment... To be honest its been boring at times but it can pick up as we have seen in the past... Lets hope its soon!

i thank those people who said a genuine cheerio..but i trhink people are missing the point..I am no more unhappy with Emmerdale than i was a year ago..i just think that with the World cup being on,it is an ideal time to get out of the habit of watching it ..it is 3 hours out of my week..when i could be doing something better than being stuck in front of the box..
P.S. the comments were before I posted this thread if anyone cares to check on the 'Emmerdale past and present site'....now lets leave it there..life's too short ;D

anyway, i probabaly wont go back to Emmerdale - I watch far too much tv as it is and there are too many eps of all the soaps so i'll stick to Corrie, the original and best!

I watch hardly anything these days. I definitely watched more 5 years ago than now. ITV are too stupid to see where they're going wrong with falling ratings.

They will blame the hot weather for falling ratings, and people watching the World Cup on the other side.

Can't blame that though when it's cold. Look at the way their axing drama. Yet the soaps are untouched. Stupid!

I have missed quite a lot of Emmerdale recently, its true I am phasing out of it a bit, but I also think the 10pm start is affecting me too. I just don't feel as into it as before, I also feel I am not missing a great deal.
