Emmerdale fans will do a double-take when they next see young Victoria Sugden - she’ll be played by a different actress. Teen star Hannah Midgley has been axed for being too cute to play a sassy new version of Victoria. So 14-year-old actress Isobel Hodgins, 14, will slip into the character’s shoes next month.
A helpful Emmerdale source explained: “It was time for the character of Victoria to move on, with plenty meaty storylines. But Hannah was just too cute. The new Victoria will return from holiday in Spain with bags of attitude, tattoos and a new boyfriend.”
The swap echoes Corrie’s infamous Nicky Tilsley saga, when Gail’s hormonal son went to Canada as a weedy wooden-top - only to miraculously return as a bronzed Adonis with a stomach you could bounce two pence pieces off.
Oh goody, another Sugden turned troublesome. I wonder if this version of Victoria can act !!
