He never has been and the actor is simply dire.
Viv is funny, and Deena is great, but he's so cringe inducing and ruining the show.

I wasn,t aware Bob Hope was mean,t to be funny Yasmin but I disagree the actor is dire he has been pretty good in the role , Viv can be funny at times but is a selfish bitch, Deena is great though I think its the scripts that are dire not the actors.

He used to be funny but since all this with the Kings he has become boring.

I like Bob, always have. Its the scriptwriters fault for not giving him much to do. He`s shown he can do it all given the chance....comedy, drama and everything in between

Same here. It gets embarassing at times watching him. I can`t take to him and Donna being a couple either, they seem so mis matched.

He waves his arms too much. I still like Marlon but since Tricia's Bollywood departure they haven't really known what to do with him so he's been put in daft situations.

Quite agree - he's awful, and always has been.
However, I don't agree about Viv/Deena - I thinks she's awful too, and I've never found her in the least bit entertaining. She's a silly, irritating character, and overacted by DP - I've never met anyone even remotely like her IRL, and I sincerely hope I never do!

Agreed. I`ve never met anyone that`s as bossy as her - and I`m glad. What were the writers thinking when they had Viv and Paddy have an affair??? The witch and the sweetest bloke on Emmerdale - it was ludicrous. I know DP is not really pregnant in real life but it really bothers me when she wears high heels.

Several years ago I saw a young girl like her. She was heavily pregnant, wore mini skirts and was pushing a pram wearing enormous platform boots.

Why do they do it? I know flat shoes aren't flattering but at least they don't put the baby at risk by the dozy mother falling on her face.

Ive no idea why or even how they do it Patsy I couldn,t . good for you Yasmin, I wore flat shoes two sizes bigger than my normal size as my feet had swollen up when I was pregnant I,d never worn platforms since I was a teen anyway and I could walk in a streight line in them .

Y`know that expression 'barefoot and pregnant'? That was me during my 1st pregnancy as my feet were swollen just like yours Val. I wonder how long it will be before Viv dresses Cathy in the same sort of outfits that Viv wears?

poor you Corriegirl you have my sympathy its no fun when your feet are swollen like that , yet how come Viv did,nt have any problems that way?. it won,t be long I should imagine she,ll have the mini, mini me stuff ready for Cathy now but will she dress Heathcliff (poor kid they could have shortend that name to Cliff then it wouldn,t have sounded so bad, Cliff and Cathy sound better ) like Bob? eek! what a thought a pair of dressalike mini me,s

Val...I think Viv is going to shorten her sons name to Heath. It sounds a lot better that Heathcliff, although I like the name Cliff too.

Heath is ok but still sounds odd Corriegirl but yes that sound,s like Viv to do that . unless someone else gets pregnant and gives they,re offspring a outlandish name Heathcliff and that unfortunete mite could be friends lol

Just like my beloved Grandfather Val...... his name was Thomas Thomas. Whatever was Grampas Dad thinking? ;D And I agree with you Val, outlandish names just aren`t fair on the kids. I know it`s only a soap, but those twins will have the mickey taken out of them in school when they get older.

I find the contrast between PerdyGrayson/VivBob hard to ignore. Viv is pushing 50, has two children, one who didn't turn out too well, and Bob having far too many children he doesn't even see, yet they are allowed to have two more babies. While the childless couple are much younger and havent had the chance to screw any kid's life up yet.

Same as in real life, Yasmin. I don't know what they're doing having Viv pregnant in the first place. Are they that desperate for ideas for the Hopes?
