I really detested Charity when she was in it. But by the time she left, I missed her a lot. Ditto with Cain, he was a terrific baddy.

I dont see how Eli is trying to be Cain.
They are completely different characters. Eli is a happy go lucky sort, while Cain never cracked a smile in the time he was there.

I think Joe Gilgun is a brilliant actor and has totally embodied the role of Eli. The future is bright for him, if they keep him away from Marlon/Debbie and find him a storyline of his own.

I agree Val. But then with Shadrack its a case of 'same old same old'.
hehehe I loved your comment about Marlon taking off with those whirling arms of his - I see what you mean. I just wish he would take off - full stop!!!!!
The reason I like Belle is because she`s a terrific actress compared to the other one they had (ditto with Victoria Sugden). Only time will tell whether the same actress will turn into a right stroppy teen in years to come.

The actress is ok, but I don't believe she is anything special, especially considering that the character of Belle is very rude and cheeky. I would never let my seven year old talk to people the way she does.
