In October 2007, a new actor joined Emmerdale. He was spotted filming at the village location with co-stars Nicola Wheeler ("Nicola de Souza") and Matthew Wolfenden ("David Metcalfe"), all pictured below.
He will appear in November storylines involving the revelation that Nicola's supposedly dead rich husband is in fact still alive (but on a life support system in hospital). Her inheritance depends on tracking down her husband Donald's son Miles, before he learns the same news from cub reporter Jasmine Thomas who is on the scent of an exclusive story for the Hotten Courier! Miles de Souza is played by Ayden Callaghan.
